The trios in the poll are the strongest ones I think each country can start. I did include other options for people to vote based on some other line-up they think will be more effective.
As always share who you voted for and why.
For some countries there are multiple options that would probably get the same effect. I am of course just not looking for three terminal pins. For the left pins I am considering passing, defense and basically their overall game.
Let the discussion begin!

Poll question clarification: by top 3 I do not mean on the podium. I mean in overall effectiveness in all disciplines of the game (serving, spiking, blocking, passing, digging, setting OOS).

USA is unsettled. My guess is Hill/Larson start.
Also the poll is hidden until Aug 18th? The drama.

Prisilla Rivera / Gaila Gonzales will likely split time. I think DR's ceiling is higher with Gaila, but puts more pressure on DLC & Martinez to pass. That's where the middle blocker Eve comes to the rescue to help!

When that occurs who does Castillo come in for if at all?

I went with MBH because she is more of a hammer and I think Karch will start her and if she isn't passing well/terminating she will get benched for Hill. In this scenario I am counting on Robinson being at libero. I just don't see Larson not starting unless Robinson is also at OH and someone say Hentz or JWO is the Libero. But this has been debated to death across many other threads.

I think my vote might surprise ya'll. I didn't vote for a pin duo, I voted for a trio. Many of these teams will live and die on how productive all three pins are, especially the L2. So for teams like Serbia who don't have a decent L2 or China who doesn't utilize their Opposite all that much....they didn't get my vote.

Larson, Hill, and Drews are top 3 for me. Larson, MBH and Drews are not.

Brazil's trio, if healthy, is top 3.

Brazil's trio, if healthy, is top 3. Yeah they haven't always been the most consistent, but those three can do some real damage and they're all-around players.

When that occurs who does Castillo come in for if at all? Most commonly, Eve follows De La Cruz' serve, so De La Cruz gets replaced by Castillo until she goes back front row, but not always.
It kind of goes like this: Eve stays in -- after her 1st serve (whether DR scores the point or not) Castillo will come in to replace whichever OH is in the backrow and passing, though it's possible she can replace the backrow OPP depending on the circumstance.
That's why you'll notice Castillo off the court at times when either of their OH's are serving (and conversely, she could remain on the court when Eve and/or Jineiry are serving)

I like to keep the poll results hidden that way people are forced to have to stop and think about casting their votes instead of just hopping on the popularity bandwagon. Maybe they even...dare I say it....go watch some footage of these players. One can probably find clips of these actual pin combinations (if they have even happened yet) before voting. Lots of new posters are messaging me asking loads of good questions which is pretty cool. I love that more people are getting involved especially a year out from the OG.

Brazil's trio, if healthy, is top 3. I also think Russia's is too. Passing is always an issue for them but OOS they are pretty sick.
