Don't like eating nuts just by itself. Always have to be with something:
Peanut - Honey roasted, or served with a Chinese dessert douhua (豆花) Almond - Ice cream topping, thinly sliced Macadamia - Macadamia nut cookie, with or without chocolate Walnut - Ice cream topping Hazelnut - Thought there was only hazelnut coffee...pass Cashew - Honey roasted or salted is nice Pistachio - OK, this is the only one I would eat plain but not very often...maybe salted Pecan - Pecan Pie, for sure Chest Nut - No, not a fan

I bought a package of honey roasted pistachios once. When I grabbed my first bite, I noticed that it was just sprinkled with sugar. Sure enough, on the back of the label, the ingredients listed were “pistachios, sea salt, and sugar”. So much for “honey roasted”!

I'll have to keep an eye out I've had chocolate covered cashews.... don't recommend

I'll have to keep an eye out I've had chocolate covered cashews.... don't recommend Strangely enough, Honey Roasted Cashews is hard to find...don't know why. Go into a supermarket you can find the Planters Honey Roasted Peanuts, but the cashews are a rarity. I think (and its been a long time since I've bought it) you can find it in Walgreen's...at least I think that's where I usually buy it from. Have to put this on my shopping list, now that we're talking about it.

I would get Ralph Nader on this, he advocates for this exact thing, misrepresentation! (At least I think he still does this.)

I am nuts with nuts, always have a few varieties around, and snack on them all the time.
My order of preference: Macadamia - Mauna Loa Dry Roasted only Cashew - salted, or honey roasted Pistachio - with shell; the ones without shell taste funny to me Walnut - honey glazed, or in cake Peanut - plain, dry roasted, honey roasted, in shell, ... Pecan - only in pecan pie Chest Nut - freshly roasted but only when caught in the mood Hazelnut - only in chocolate bar

My COSTCO/Sprouts/Trader Joe's grocery bill is really high, primarily due to the high cost of nuts.
Almonds ≈ $3.99-$6.99/lb Walnuts ≈ $3.99-$6.99/lb Pistachios - I forget Macadamia - I forget Cashews - I forget
One Christmas, I asked my mom what she wanted and she said "Brazil Nuts," which was roughly $18.99/lb. Holy smokes, mom!
Salmon, trout, shrimp, etc. are also very expensive, in the $9.99-$11.99/lb range.

Also the peanut is technically not a nut, it is a legume. Cashews, walnuts, and almonds aren't nuts either. They're drupes. The almond "nut" is really just the center part of the pit similar to a peach pit. Cashews are really odd with an "apple" (technically an accessory fruit) with a single seed. The fruit/shell around the "nut" is pretty nasty. It's related to poison ivy/oak and contains urushiol. They have to be cooked in some way or else it will be irritating, and "raw" cashews aren't really raw.
