he does make good block moves often but there are a lot of situations where he needs to make small adjustments that would make a huge difference. He doesn't read the game as well as elite blockers, I guess he is young. Watching from this angle makes it easier to see. While typing this I did just watch him make 2 good moves to start game 3 He just doesn't have those years of Club/College practice where you work on little things with thousands of reps and accumulated hours of constant correction. I really don't think it's that he is not making small adjustments, he doesn't know what they are and/or his body doesn't automatically make them from muscle memory. agree, he can and does make small adjustments but I'm to saying he doesn't recognize things in certain situations... like when a set is here and a hitter is doing this you must make this adjustment... things that lots of reps and seeing results over and over 1000s of times will do. There are players that get it faster than others and are just naturally good blockers too. Potential is there, clock is ticking

TnT pull it out, hot today, that will have an effect later.

At 26 and with a late start to the game Field has a huge upside. Of course, it's easy to critique his game. He has more work to do and hopefully, he will do it. I like him and like what he is doing.

You can watch some Troy games and if your attention is split you would wonder why he didnt win, but there are so many plays where he makes small mistakes, doesnt take a step in one direction when the pass is not ideal, doesn't line up a hitter well when the set is too far outside, stuff like that. They were very lucky to get through here and it wasnt just Troy. On multiple occasions Piotr hit a loop shot to the back middle of the court and Tim didnt get it once. Against a top defender that shot should never go down, much less every time. That was indicative of the awful defense he played throughout. This team just hasnt found any kind of rhythm

And then tables turned again 🤣 Piotr giving it right back though. Two horrible passes on weak float serves. If they lose this he may be thinking about those two passes for a while 3 bad weekends for the Marciniaks. Both Piotr and Kaya have been unable to get through the first round of Q for three straight weeks.

Killer Bs get beaten down by a reenergized Ryan/Avery, bad finish for the youngsters.

Pretty crazy to see how far Ratledge has fallen as a player from a couple years ago. Dude just isn't effective at the net.

This is so bad. Ratledge and Del Sol should just forfeit and save themselves further embarrsasment.
