Texas v Florida 2015 Regional Final...if you know, you know
Florida's 2013 and 2016 5 set losses to FSU at home in the 2nd Round were also heartbreaking ways to end Mann and Holston's careers.

Although that makes me wonder the question: Which NCAA team, professional team, or national federation have had the most painful losses? USC, as already mentioned, has taken a ton of tough losses in the NCAA Tournament, in 5 sets. Man I feel for USC. They've had several devastating regional final loses. 2013 Regional Final: they went up two sets to none against Washington AND they ultimately had a match point and a swing opportunity in the 5th set of that game and they still los. 2015 Regional Final: they were up 13-9 in the 5th against Kansas. Unbelievably, Kansas scored the next 6 points to win the match. 2017 Regional Final: they had match point in the 4th set against Florida. They ultimately lost in 5. USC is overdue for a Final Four appearance. Going back further, losing in the 2007 semis was brutal too. Up 14-13 in G5 vs Stanford and Kazcor serves it out. Stanford goes on to win 16-14. They got their revenge in 2010 with their upset of Stanford.

For me it isnt even close: Hawaii's 1995 loss to Michigan State in the regional final in Honolulu after going undefeated in the regular season and being up 2-0. Granted it was supposed to be sort of a rebuilding year after losing most of their starting lineup from the year before, but that team was just so fun to watch. To watch them just run out of gas at the end... Just heartbreaking.
