“If we have truly seen the last of John Hyden, he will go down as a first-ballot Hall of Famer, the oldest player to win on both tours, the AVP and FIVB.”
I believe Jake Gibb broke Hyden’s FIVB record last year when he won Chetumal at age 43.

“If we have truly seen the last of John Hyden, he will go down as a first-ballot Hall of Famer, the oldest player to win on both tours, the AVP and FIVB.” I believe Jake Gibb broke Hyden’s FIVB record last year when he won Chetumal at age 43. He did. Amazingly I think he actually won't be eligible to break Hyden's AVP record until 2022. But with Hyden likely not playing FIVB too much next year, he could definitely get another AVP win next year in a depleted field.

Hyden's plan as of now is to play with Kolinske next year.
