Until a proven vaccine is available COVID-19 will be an issue. Plus there has to be enough doses for people at an affordable cost as this is wrecking the economy. Winter sports (basketball) will be at risk because I really don't see a vaccine available until 2021 and then we will not have enough evidence that it works. Please wear masks/face coverings wherever possible.

They are gonna be playing right in prime flu season and they jump on each other. Sounds like disaster to me football is more contact then all the rest Yup. Flu season ended overnight last winter due to the quarantine. If we maintain controls, we can limit the flu and be alright. If we get bored again and try to open up too soon, we will have a double whammy next winter.

Liability. The reason for no fall sports I’m still not sure I get how COVID liability is a bigger hurdle for sports than it is for general students. The medical resources provided to athletes, especially at Power 5 schools, dwarfs what is being provided to Suzie at her in-perso. organic chemistry lab.

A large number of schools are going all virtual, so athletes would be some of the very few students on campus. The ones that are not going virtual, probably should.

Flu, however, is not the issue for the NFL. Not yet. Give it a few months and lets see if our reaction to the swine flu will be as swift and comprehensive as was our response to Covid19.

How do schools, conferences, and the governing orgs (NCAA, NAIA) pull off such a big slate of sports all in the spring? Nightmares abound! Yeah, that's a concern. The NCAA administers 90 championships in 24 sports... Anyone believe they can do them all in spring? yep!!
