Anyone wonder how many coaches might take this time to get out of the game? Move to something more traditional?

I'm just going to ask the question no one dares to ask: Are they even qualified to do anything else?
LOL!
*ducking*

The gymnastics coach at LSU retired last week. She stated that the pandemic was one of her reasons in making the decision.

I would have to say, as a current coach; I've asked myself that question a lot lately. I've given myself this school year as a test, to see if we can get back to some semblance of normalcy. If we can't, college athletics is gonna be challenging. I do wonder what I'm good at, other than this.

In my opinion, the pandemic has certainly been a time to do some reflection. I believe we could see many coaches choose to move on to something else. The next year will yield a lot of movement. Could definitely change the landscape of collegiate volleyball.

I believe strongly that a flood of coaches will leave the sport as soon as the checks stop clearing...

I believe strongly that a flood of coaches will leave the sport as soon as the checks stop clearing... They can move to club volleyball. Those checks will still be there.

Unfortunately, I think with out Football - a lot of coaches from a lot of teams will be with out jobs. They may not get out as much as not be in.... paying coaches is going to be very hard for many schools.

Mike Ehrmentraut (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) was a parking attendant by day and fixer/assassin by night. Although sometimes, he was a fixer/assassin by day, too.

It's not a great time to go find a new job. It's not like everything except volleyball is humming along just fine.

I'm having doubts that anyone can pull their heads from their arse to figure out how anything moves forward without seriously being messed up at this point.
