Likely D2 head coaching job opening in the Southeast. HC not listed on the page. Chowan University -- not a surprise. Someone let the cat out of the bag on this one a couple of weeks ago, I think. She is leaving on her own terms to start a family, or something like that is I remember correctly. |

Located across the river from St. Louis, NCAA Division I Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is seeking highly motivated applicants for a Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach
Assistance in operation of summer camps expected. Appointment will officially begin in August.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will assist in all areas of operation for the Women's Volleyball program, assisting the Head Coach with the organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, fund raising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics, and will support the student-athlete concept and demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete
The graduate assistant in this position will develop skills in human relations, supervision skills, public presentations, and communication and documentation skills
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES LIKELY TO INCLUDE:
On-court instruction
Video analysis - familiarity with Volleymetrics preferred
Community service coordination
Assist in social media development
Work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel
Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree
Acceptance into SIUE Graduate School; must maintain a 6-12 hour course load per semester
Evidence of sound organizational skills and strong work ethic
Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
Demonstrated strong and effective communication and computer skills
(Word, Excel, and Google Docs)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous collegiate volleyball playing experience and desire to progress as a collegiate volleyball coach
PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT: 10-month initial appointment beginning August 2021 through May 2022. The expectation is for a two year commitment to the position through subsequent appointment renewals, assuming success in the position.
SALARY: Tuition waiver and $913 per month stipend. GA is responsible for student fees.

WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY- Graduate Assistant for Volleyball Western Illinois University, is Division I University and a member of The Summit League Conference Graduate Assistant for Volleyball The position of Graduate Assistant for Volleyball is responsible for assisting the Head Volleyball Coach in all aspects of the Western Illinois University Volleyball Program.
