I just followed my own advice. I had some questions about a book I'm reading. So, now, I'm trying to find the author. No luck yet, but I managed to contact his publisher and his last known employer. They're now trying to find him for me. See. Easy as 1-2-3. Just go straight to the source. Now, I have a question about Iran. Time to contact Ollie North. Update: Holy cow! The author of the book I was trying to find contacted me. He wrote me an email saying essentially, "Wolfgang, ____________ said you were looking for me. How may I be of assistance?" See. Easy peasy. LOL! Now, I have to fire off a bunch of good questions, with examples, and interlaced with "You are a God" comments. I should teach a class.

More update:
I fired off my questions to the author. He wrote back:
"Wolfgang,
Thanks very much for your wonderful message. I rarely hear directly from readers of my book and I’m happy that you enjoy my book.
..."
(He then answered ALL of my TEN (10) questions in excruciating detail. It's as if this one email was the highlight of his day.)
So, this illustrates my point. Famous people are lonely. No one ever gives them feedback about the book they wrote. They feel like they're living in a vacumm. They want to be heard. They want to talk to you.
So, you know, you should seek out the experts. Get it straight from the horse's mouth.

Well, I spent TWO days trying to implement "poker" in my online forum. I got it so that it works within a post in a thread. You press a button in your post and my forum will deal 5 random cards (actual card images) from a deck. Those five cards will show up as soon you press the "Create Post" button.
You can't actually play with others. The goal is to get as good a hand as possible with a payout that depends on the quality of the hand. Playing with others is too complicated for an online forum-based game. If you want to play real poker, there are many many good poker sites online. But on my forum, at least you can play my version of simple "poker" inside a thread. LOL!
And I got my name in rainbow colors! Woo Hoo!
