I meant to ask you earlier what you meant by this statement. Are they recruiting well for Fall 2021 season and beyond? Their talent level on the roster is not that of a tournament team come next Spring. Scary to think what they'd have looked like tonight without the late addition of the freshman French OH. I'm aware of Kylee opting out for the Fall; but, unless they get a major talent infusion one year from now, they are probably two seasons away from qualifying for the post-season. Kylee is a HUGE loss. You might be underestimating her role. Maybe. But, she did not play well in their first round exit last December.
From what I saw tonight, they don't have enough effective terminators, regardless of who is setting the ball.

Diouf is going to be good for OU. Not sure how they landed her from France, but it's a good get.

Diouf is going to be good for OU. Not sure how they landed her from France, but it's a good get. i was happy to see her adjust after she kept getting blocked. She’s a seasoned freshman. And I think she was competing in France recently. Makes a difference. You can tell she’s been on the court and putting in some work.

I didn't read the whole thread, but I was surprised that nobody in the early going mentioned the Oklahoma players wearing BLM sweats and taking knees during the anthem. In Oklahoma? Anyway, nice showing by Baja Oklahoma against a marginal opponent. Boy can that French girl jump!

Texas speeding up the offense Much better passing allows that! O'Brien is a huge step up from Texas DSs and Petersen.

Don't feed the Stanford troll. He's just doing what he always does on here . . . You need help. You act like you own any thread related to Texas. Take a seat.

What happened to Shook. So much potential. Where have you been? Just an honest question. I followed her during club and saw the potential just don’t know what’s happened since last year.

She doesn’t have the power or control (yet) for an effective top spin. Learning a solid float would be much better than just giving the opposing team an easy serve to pass. It's the first match of the season if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure our coaching staff has seen her in practice (much more than any of us on a message board) to know what she's capable of with her serving.
I'll wait a few more matches before I give up on her . . . We played her a couple of times in SoCal HS ball last year. It was low pressure because they (Redondo Union) weren't going to lose to us, so she was just loose and cranking them. The most aggressive serve I saw last night from her was on the low end of what she was bringing against us, and error rate was maybe 25%. I would give her a few matches to shake off the dust and get her form back.

However, on one serve I heard a distinctive THWACK as the ball hit the arms of the backrow player. That got my attention!
