Both OCVC 18-1 and SPVB 18 Elite didn’t drop a set today and looked VERY good. Who else looked good?

The Wisconsin contingent of teams did do well across the board at the Winter Volleyball Championships in Indy this weekend. Many of these teams have benefited from coming off their modified high school season this past fall (September to first week of November) and a handful of regional tournaments in the Badger Region (December-present). Here are some of the top Badger Region finishes from throughout the weekend (apologies to any I missed):
* B18-Open: MVC 18-Brian -- Second Place * B18-USA: FVP B18-Blue -- First Place, Motion 18-Blue -- Third Place * B17 Open: MVC 17-Jake -- First Place * B17 USA: Southport B17-Blue -- Second Place, FVP B17-Blue: -- Third Place * B17/18 Club: Epic B18-Black: Third Place * B16-Open: Sting B18-Adidas -- First Place * B16 USA: RVA B16-Navy -- Second Place, Sting B16 Lightning -- Third Place * B15 Open: MVC 15-Joe -- First Place * B15/16 Club: Epic B16-Black -- First Place, Sting B16-Frisco Mo -- Second Place, FVP B15-Blue -- Third Place * B14 Open: Sting B14 Adidas -- First Place * B13/14 Club: Sting B14 Frisco Mo
* G18-Open: Sting G18-Gold -- Second Place * G18-American: Impact 18-National -- First Place
Safe travels home, everyone!

I think there were a lot of really good teams there, you can just tell that there are a lot of teams who have not played a lot of volleyball. This includes Ultimate, 630, Vanguard 18s. There were a lot of shocking club performances like The Academy VBC of Indianapolis and the Milwaukee Stings. Both those clubs had top performers in almost every division.

every year it is the same discussion, then they play each other and the west coast teams come out on top. One of these years it will turn out different, probably still a while from now.
