While Aquinas did lose 5 starters fro. Last years team, they did bring in 3 transfers that fi some of those riles nicely. Along with 3 International players with a ton of experience and a great Freshman class. I would expect very little drop off in offensive fire power, if any, and and increased presence on defense. I am only seeing two international kids on the roster, one is a transfer from Mount Mercy, who didn't really play there, and the other is a setter from Canada. I do like their transfer setter from Fullerton College, Lourenco, but honestly I just don't see them being able to replace some really solid players that were really big pieces of their success. Would love to be surprised about them though, and I am hoping they continue their success.

The other transfer was not on their active roster last year, but played a lot as a freshman.

I hope we see close to a full season with as many contenders as possible. GPAC seems to be bleeding teams for 21. Down to maybe 3? I worry about the Golden State as well. Menlo already out - no word on Vanguard; puts the AZ teams in a pinch if they lose too many. Chicagoland also may be worth concern given the city of Chicago's lock on practices and competitions.

CalPac seems poised to at least play their in-conference matches.

Sounds like the GSAC might be splitting up their conference games for the year. Looking at their basketball schedule, there look to be two sections..maybe regional? Tough to have a conference where schools are in two states that treat the pandemic very differently.

Campbellsville 1 and then Grand View 2. I know Grand View just got Danny Wong from UH so he may be an instant impact player.

I’ll take a stab. Not what I think personally, but what I believe the ranking will look like: 1. Grand View 2. Campbellsville 3. Park 4. Mo Bap 5. Benedictine 6. Jamestown 7. Lourdes 8. Saint Xavier 9. Vanguard 10. Cardinal Stritch
This assumes that Menlo is not competing this year (the rumor that has been thrown around).
Edit: flipped Saint Xavier and Cardinal Stritch due to conference rank having them flipped.

The first national ranking has been released. I forgot they moved to a top 15 this year with the expanded amount of teams:
1. Grand View (Iowa) [10] 2. Campbellsville (Ky.) [2] 3. Park (Mo.) 4. Missouri Baptist 5. Benedictine Mesa (Ariz.) 6. Lourdes (Ohio) 7. Vanguard (Calif.) 8. Jamestown (N.D.) 9. Aquinas (Mich.) 10. Saint Xavier (Ill.) 11. Mount Mercy (Iowa) 12. Ottawa (Ariz.) (AZ) 13. Life (Ga.) 14. Siena Heights (Mich.) 15. Hope International (Calif.)
No surprises at the top, but surprised to not see Cardinal Stritch in there. It is going to be a crazy year, especially out in the West with all of their conference changes and California state regulations.

I like seeing 3 programs out of the WHAC The WHAC is only going to get better. Similar with the Mid South. As more schools add and provide resources, MVB will keep improving in that area. I thought Lourdes would be higher returning Gehrkes and Lam. While I don’t expect much from Aquinas - Siena Heights could be interesting to watch. I hope we see this season through - a lot of talented guys stuck around for one more year - should be fun to follow!

Looks like Aquinas added the Argentinian OH from Mount Mercy recently (so recent that he is still showing on the roster at Mount Mercy). Nice player who was all conference last year at Mount Mercy. Not sure it will be enough to replace all they lost though.
As a side note, I’ve always enjoyed watching the Lourdes/Aquinas matches over the last couple years. Hoping for another good couple of matches this year between those two.
