I like Sun, but this... Could they be more melodramatic? From the biblical "On the fifth day..." to the picture, it's just way too much. Likening Lexi Sun to Jesus Christ is quite the leap, I would think Lexi, as a professing Christian, would not be on board with this...but here we are Isn’t this her instagram account?? She’s obviously on board. |

I read it more as a play on the resurrection of Jesus where in the Bible it says or says very similarly... 'and on the third day he rose again' ....So Lexi/Nebraska media team has in my eyes mocked scripture and even made a fake Bible verse to talk about Lexi Sun coming back for her 5th year. I understand it is not THAT serious, and as mentioned before was done with good intention and doesn't harm anyone...I get that. But as a Christian I see this as manipulating the Bible to promote oneself. I can see how you read it more so just as a play on the sun rising as that metaphor works here, but I think the near quoting of scripture and twisting it for a social media post is not great. |

Someone close to me was told in 2017 that Sun was somewhat of a high school diva/drama queen; the person saying that is a relative of one of Sun's WVB contemporaries. I have never mentioned it until now. Whatever the facts are right now...it is her instagram! |

Posting about coming back like every other returning 5th year senior is looking for attention? Every fan base was speculating on their players. This is how players have been getting the message out. As for the play on words, it's all in fun. The Husker media team made it, she didn't. She just used it for the announcement. People love to make something out of nothing. |
