Yeah, bubbles are a thing of the past. Athletes making millions in the NBA, NHL and MLS were willing to do it late in the summer but I don’t think they would’ve been able to find 44 volleyball players willing to live in a bubble for six weeks. They might happen for short events (NCAA tourneys, Olympics) but nothing that lasts a significant amount of time. Although if they’re getting tested daily, I think that should suffice to play maskless. Bubbles are a thing of the future, too, with VNL coming up. I heard the Poles didn't like the idea of a bubble... |
