This league needs a calcutta, players bidding real money on themselves or other players. Why not? It's a clown show anyway (but I'll watch for sure!).

Haven't read this entire thread and sorry if this information has already been provided. I presently have a fuboTV subscription that includes their family package plus fubo extra. Paying around $72.98 a month. Includes FS1, FS2, CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU channels. I have checked and saw the upcoming matches are listed to be covered per schedule. This year? no Fawcett is coaching, Lloyd is pregnant, and who knows with Murphy lol in the future? I would think so I bet Danielle Scott-Arruda is ready to go right now. Gibbemeyer fits this scenario; if this does have a future I would think more would come. |

At this point, I'm not even going to try to pretend that I understand or care about the insane scoring system. I'm just hoping to watch some good volleyball from a lot of athletes that I admire.

I feel like that's how its going to be for a lot of us. Like unless they plan on having a "live scoring" where we can see actual points... I'm not going to be bothered with it, match play will come first |

Also, if you are abroad and have access to ESPNPlayer (Europe and maybe some of Asia) it looks like the matches will be streamed on there

I really dislike the idea that a team can lose 2 sets and still win the match. It makes sets irrelevant if you can lose 2 sets, but then dominate in one set and win the whole match. I assume it is because they don't want athletes playing 5 set matches and getting exhausted, but why not just play 3 sets and whoever wins 2/3 is the winner or something like that?

I'm assuming 3 sets is the standard so stats don't get affected (with some players playing 3 vs some players playing 5, etc) Players are always playing the same amount of sets. I think having the overall points winner win the match isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sets to 25 points is arbitrary anyways. They could just change the scoring to first to 75 but that's probably getting too much away from the core volleyball concept. |
