This format is the same they used for the women's softball version and they will use for the upcoming women's LAX and in the future could use for other sports. Probably the most successful league we've had the U.S. (outside of what goes on in Puerto Rico) was the coed 6s (4 men, 2 women) we had on the West Coast in the 70s and they didn't rotate (International Volleyball Federation). Nothing wrong if you can afford to pay people to play, to allow people to play the game for a salary. We are so lucky!

Or, you can just watch and enjoy the matches and check what the scoring outcomes look like later. Is anyone really planning to try to follow the point system while the games are going on? I am just looking forward to watching good volleyball from athletes we rarely get to see in a professional setting. I think it would be nice to have a live scoring page, even if not shown or reported on TV. Especially for international fans who may only be tuning in for one specific player. I share your opinion if we’re talking about me personally having interest in watching, but I could see how many are disappointed to not track results in real time, given that’s actually more important than who wins the match, right? I’m grateful we have any representation of professional volleyball with quality players here in USA. I just hope that it can gain traction and viewership for the future. Winning sets and the match is worth more than the points an athlete can typically accumulate through stats. So winning IS still more important. |

This league will not be successful if they maintain this format. It may be fine during covid, but it's alienating to the casual fan, and even more alienating to the avid fan. Scoring format is obscure, teams get mixed too often, and no one is invested in a team except they're familiar with someone they liked and follow from college. Change format!

Toliver went live on tiktok and answered a bunch of questions. Someone mentioned Sheilla and why she was drafted so late. Apparently 3 out of the 4 captains didn’t know who she was and thought she was just some old mom from Brazil lmaoooo. She also did start off slow and said she needed time to warm up but apparently absolutely “tore it up and made everyone regret not picking her” today at practice. Some other things that were interesting was that someone asked about what team she would want to be on and she said Aury Cruz because she’s a fantastic coach and just knows how to win. She said she was gonna go live again tomorrow after the game if y’all wanna get some inside knowledge. Was super interesting and she gave a lot of in Depth detail and cool stories. She also spilled Tea on MSU and her disappointment with the way they are trending.
