Standard point system that I used last year 1st. 10 2nd. 8 3rd. 7 4th. 6 5th. 5 6th. 4 7th. 3 8th. 2 9th. 1 +10 points to everyone who submitted an entry in week 1 but ONLY if I had a new participant in week 2, maybe 3. re: the 10+ points for late adds, I was on the other side of this last year and it discouraged me from joining but I still did and was a not great at picking teams but it always felt like a handicap that could not be overcome. I think it is too much of a penalty will not encourage people to join compared to if they just come in straight up and missing a week of points, even if it is one less than the worst picker that week. Just my opinion on what is a the evenest playing field and would encourage the most people to participate. you do all the work and I respect your decision to do it as you want. Maybe +3 or something.

Fixed. It makes sense with the reduced schedules. This is the placements and scoring for week 2. As you can tell the points are determined on how many participants submit an entry so there could be some sort of requirement of like 2-3 new participants = 3 points / 4-5 new participants = 5 points, if that sounds good? However I'm not too confident I'll get much considering the deadline for week 2 is on Monday. 1st. lipton (185) - 20 points 2nd. socal3 (188) - 17 points 3rd. Volleyfan24 (192) - 14 points 4th. openhanddink (210) - 12 points 5th. bealzabubba (123) - 11 points 6th. wilbur (172) - 10 points 7th. Hawk Attack (180) - 9 points 8th. vballfan17(190) - 8 points 9th. soljah808 (191) - 7 points 10th. thechosen1 (201) - 6 points 11th. beachvball (152) - 5 points 12th. ucsdfan (181) - 4 points 13th. berry808 (182) - 3 points 14th. vup - 2 points 15th. 808 State - 1 point

wilbur I do appreciate your input btw but do you think I should alter the point system? Neither vballfan17 or Hawk Attack submitted in week 1 too and they did really good so its definitely possible. Its mostly all luck so just pick better lol . Some more date from last year: (2020 final standings (season ended on week 9 of 14) Weeks 2-9 had the same scoring system 1st: openhanddink - 121 points 2nd: thechosen1 - 112 points 3rd: vballfan17 - 98 points 4th: bealzabubba - 95 points 5th: Hawk Attack - 92 points 6th: Volleyfan24 - 75 points 7th: 808 State - 72 points 7th: socal3 - 72 points 9th: wilbur - 66 points 10th: berry808 - 54 points 11th: Wiz - 46 points 12th: beachvball - 42 points 13th: lipton - 36 points 14th: fanofvb01 - 35 points 15th: vup - 27 points 16th: ucsdfan - 22 points 17th: soljah808 - 20 points 18th: bbk - 9 points 19th: chivolley - 8 points 20th: CoastalVB - 7 points volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/80079/ptw-standings?page=1

LAst year was definitely the year of the upset for many west coast traditional top tier teams too. I think the point system is good. Just don't see a reason for an added bonus to submit every week or the first week beyond the point you will get that week. if vballfan17 or Hawk Attack hadn't lost 10 points to people above they would have had same ranking but it would have been closer and been more interestinggas the season progressed. Just my opinion. I think I missed another week or 2 besides the first week and many others did as well. If more people are in the hunt I think it encourages more participation.

I think I finished 13/16 for the week. Since the organizer dropped, are we letting PTW die this season.

Maybe we can get ucsdfan take over the admin since the fantasy is dead too. I would rather do this than STF proposed and I do not have enough enthusiasm to do the leg work here.
