From a highly reliable source:
1) Stafford Slick has retired. His wife received a good offer and they have moved from Hermosa to San Diego County (possibly Encinitas). Stafford will supposedly be involved in medical sales. If someone needs a partner, he will consider playing but is done with any serious training;
2) Billy Allen (now living in Idaho and needing a partner) will partner up with Andy Benesh and commute for some training;
3) Eric Beranek, now needing a partner, will partner up with his good friend Troy Field;
4) Tim Bomgren, now needing a partner, will partner up with Jeremy Casebeer for AVP only;
5) Chase Budinger will reunite with Casey Patterson;
6) Chaim Schalk will partner up with Theo Brunner;
7) John Hyden will stay with Bill Kolinske for AVP only;

Figured the Casebeer/Bomgren partnership would happen. Makes too much sense for the goals of each.
Allen is a great move for Benesh. Will learn a lot from him.

Bummer that Stafford is scaling back but it makes sense. He's got two kids and he's a smart dude whose got potential to make a good living. Excited to see Timmy play with Jeremy. Beranek and Field will have some exciting games - we'll see if they are consistent. Troy will benefit from practicing with his actual partner.

I always say the number one thing Jeremy needs in a partner is a steady side out player and calming influence. Timmy is those things.

They probably won't be consistent but I could see them maybe make a deep run in a couple of the tournies where the guys with Olympic hopes are missing.

Both have made a lot of Sunday’s the last couple years with partners that were comparable to their new match.

When the 4 international teams (3 contenders plus Brunner/Schalk) are gone, I'd make these guys second favorites after Casey/Chase. Surprised not to see Partain in the mix. Troy Field shouldn't have gone near another young player, but if he were going to choose one, not sure why Beranek was preferable to Miles.

Great for Benesh. The one and only young blocker in the U.S. pipeline worth caring about. Dark days ahead unless the kid fills his potential.

What happened to Chaim and Chase? No onlympic aspirations anymore? Upgrade for Casey in my opinion.

Budinger/Paterson is going to be better than most think. I've high hopes for this.
