Contrast that with the list of mid-high to high level defenders in no particular order:
Schalk Patterson Evans Bomgren Billy Allen Hyden Priddy Rosenthal? Rafu?
Pretty serious supply/demand problem

Piotr is a good blocker, Dave Palm just a small step below... think they deserve to be in this conversation.

Being in Florida does he stay with Rafu, or does Rafu even play? I imagine he will be in higher demand given retirements, position changes etc.

Personally I like Piotr’s game but he doesn’t have any results to back that up and is an underdog against any of those guys. His best partner pull I can think of in recent memory is 47 year old Hyden I believe because Hydens partner had to pull out due to injury.. I like Palms game as well but he’s not even a main draw guy at this point.

Heard a rumor that nothing till '22 . . . Hard to believe with the Olympics in the fold, but "dats what I heard" . . . :-( With some areas of the country basically running as usual, I'd find it hard to imagine they don't get something together. Texas and Florida being two options. I cannot see NYC happening.

I'll go on a limb and make a few silly AVP Tour predictions. Stops in Austin, Seattle and somewhere in Florida in early to mid-summer, with Chicago making a surprising comeback on Labor Day. I'd guess that Donald really, really, really would like to see New York happen in late summer, but not sure idiot DeBlasio would ever let that happen. Maybe one other surprise in a location that is much more open-for-business friendly? Guarantee Seattle won't happen. So much fear and political hand-wringing here. They're scared of their own shadows and cancelling anything they can get their hands on.

Just conjecture, no real info...Cannot believe they cannot do the Championship Cup again, but maybe numbers weren't compelling . . .

The champions cup numbers were better than any event they’ve ever had. I can’t imagine your info is coming from someone with economic knowledge. If anything, expect a repeat this year. 52% higher on Amazon Prime. NBC viewers were 100,000 more in 2020 for 3 events than 8 events in 2019.

I think I had it wrong; Events with fans was what he was talking about (Look to TX, FLA for those). I was told, by my source, that there would not be any CBVA's this year (haven't heard that from anyone; he may be overly pessimistic). Anyway, evidently "film venues" are OK, "in person/fan", not so much . . . At least in Cali.

Pretty sure we discussed this last summer but the NBC broadcast ratings for the 2020 Monster Hydro Cup were almost exactly the same as the 2019 NYC event with about 730k viewers. Those were the only live telecasts on NBC the past two years. Now maybe you’re right about Amazon Prime. I don’t think those numbers have been publicly released.
