Is Rosie healed up from shoulder surgery and ready to play this year?
Is Doherty even planning to play anymore or has he officially hung it up?

Is Rosie healed up from shoulder surgery and ready to play this year? Is Doherty even planning to play anymore or has he officially hung it up? Good questions. Not certain but I believe Ryan is done playing. Rosie hasn't posted how his recovery is going other than to give kudos to the people helping him out.

I feel like Ratledge would make sense with Rosie who is certainly better than Skyler. Ratledge has to be done. That dude was so bad in the last 2 events last year. I have no idea what Skylar will do and it wouldn't surprise me if he just stayed in Colorado or just went back to Amorim. Really hope Rosie gets another good year with his shoulder. He was confirmed with Drost last year before the shakeup before season but wouldn't surprise me if he moves up as a defender considering how he played with Phil.

My source, who is a very good friend of Sean's, told me today that it appears Sean will team up with Drost, contingent upon how Sean's shoulder recovers. My source thought the shoulder was around 75%.

McKibbins should be in Tier 3; perhaps just switch them and Broomis

I saw him play in the first Champions Cup and I don't think I watched his matches in the next two but, playing with the weakest partner in the event series, he did better than Andy Benesh or Troy Field. Besides if US players start retiring at 44, we wont have an AVP

Besides if US players start retiring at 44, we wont have an AVP The first event was BY FAR the best he looked in the three events. The same could be said for Del Sol. That said, I can't imagine Ed is done. I feel like he will continue to play as long as he has a partner to play with.

Ed also seems like one of the guys who just really enjoys playing beach volleyball. It doesn't seem like it'd be this huge ego hit to not win as many games as he used to, he would just continue to play since he likes playing.

Besides if US players start retiring at 44, we wont have an AVP When you're 7 feet tall, playing with the weakest player in the field who's like 6 feet, and is also one of the better setters in the field, and you're still getting served more than him, you're clearly in a place of not belonging. He also didn't do better than Benesh or Field thorughout the cup.

He also didn't do better than Benesh or Field thorughout the cup. You say he didn't belong but he qualified for a main draw and many very good players did not. For example Ed/Sklar achieved more in the Champions Cup than the Bs, Piotr and Rafu, Kolinske, Priddy/Lee, the McKibbins, and Drost/Doherty. Unless we have drastically different conceptions of Skylar, no way to say Ed doesnt belong when he achieved more than all of those players Also why did Amazon take the Champions Cup down?

I agree with this and lets not forget bottom feeding was most of Ed's career before his 40-ish renaissance (or for those of us realists, when the tour's quality finally fell enough for him to start winning some again)

Also why did Amazon take the Champions Cup down? Looks like it’s still there for me. Had to scroll down to find it, but the Monster Hydro Cup, Porsche Cup, and Wilson Cup are all available, days 1 and 2.
