Hmmm, so FSU’s nail biter win over LSU made 5 East Coast coaches flip from FSU to USC. I suppose in 1.5 weeks we’ll find out how the Top 4 teams really match up. West Coast will have home court advantage and the matches won’t be held on a beach so it won’t be a full representation of how Finals will play out.

West Coast will have home court advantage and the matches won’t be held on a beach so it won’t be a full representation of how Finals will play out. How do you know it was all five East Coast voters? Does the AVCA disclose ballots somewhere? No, it is just an educated guess that last week when first place votes were split 7-7, the West voters chose USC and the East chose FSU. There easily could have been some mix. According to this, there are more than 14 voters. Either this hasn’t been updated by AVCA or 4 coaches have “not had the time”. www.avca.org/res/uploads/media/2021-Beach-Poll-Voters.pdfI suspect even the coaches who do vote are not really paying full attention. Stanford should have moved up at least 8 spots after beating Hawaii and nearly beating UCLA earlier in the season. The Cardinal have been 18 or 19 in the polls the entire season but clearly can rise to a higher level than many teams above them. www.avca.org/res/uploads/media/2021-Weekly-Poll_14.xlsx

Why does USC always run away from matches? Like today. They were supposed to play both Washington & UCLA. But decided not to so they can "prepare" for the matches vs LSU & FSU on the 3rd & 4th of April. Thats their reasoning. But everyone know it's really because they dont want to face UCLA :-D
But seriously why. They've done this in the past as well. 2018 I believe it was. They just upped & forfeited. I cant remember if it was a full game or just the later flights because they had already won 3. Just stay and play the game. It seemed easy enuff for y'all to literally beat up both Oregon & Utah (In my eyes, both were unfair matches) But dont care to stay to face better teams?

By the end of the season, USC will probably have faced UCLA 5-6 times. All I can do is roll my eyes at your silly whining. On a more positive note, it seems like losing last week lit a fire under Harward-Scoles as they crushed their opponents today.

Aye, Maybe they should have taken an extra week to "prepare" for Stetson back in 2019 Anyway. They've played UCLA once so far, ya? & won't again till the 17th & 22nd of April. I don't know where you get the 5-6 times. Unless you're counting the PAC-12 Championships & The Gulf Shores. Unlike some of the indoor programs. I don't have a problem with any schools beach programs. I guess you didn't catch the :-D It's cool. Good luck to them vs LSU & FSU

Good luck to them vs LSU & FSU You are the definition of internet troll, but since you asked (didn't ask at all), I'll bite. It turns out the reason for that change in schedule is due to available flights out of Tucson and NCAA mandated days off for the student-athletes. If you recall, USC-UCLA was scheduled to be played at 7pm, which would have forced both teams to fly out on Monday morning and then use an additional day of the week to be "off" entirely. Not ideal for any team, any sport, anything really during this pandemic. Also - apparently, the first move was made by UCLA to pull out of the second day of matches in order to get back to LA on Sunday. I've heard after a bunch of trying to get flights to work out, UCLA ended up getting a later flight out with the team together so they're able to play in the morning. USC snagged earlier flights out and thus will not be playing. Satisfactory? Footnote - playing any team three times in the regular season is quite enough isn't it? You're griping about a fourth for some strange reason and have all the wrong information about why it's not happening.

Pretty sure USC has never forfeited a match and definitely did not do it in 2018. And... by your strange logic, it wouldn't have been a forfeit if USC had already won three. I only answer because you asked "But seriously why" so I figure you care to educate yourself and understand, but I could be completely wrong about that.

Thanks for the excellent explanation, Raylasseter.
Extra side note: I see that former Trojan commit Anastasia Lima is playing for Oregon in the Ones Pair. We’ll have to see over the next few years how she develops.

They did not want to play late on Sunday night because they wanted to fly home to prepare for the east coast matches next weekend. USC wanted to play. Hopefully USC will prepare well for those matches too, Pepp seemed very prepared for USC, who has great athletes, but they have been pretty far superior to the teams they have come up against thus far. The east coast teams will be tough, so let's see if Blanton can prepare and be ready with his squad so they can be successful.
