That’s like saying the capital police were free to run from the scene? Is that how you want to play this? huh? Well, you wanted this policeman to back up to avoid confrontation. Shouldn’t the capital police have avoided confrontation? That’s the same mentality

That’s the same mentality that's not what i said. i said he should back up to avoid running someone over. there are plenty of roads in tacoma that he could go down that aren't blocked.

That cop's job is NOT to run over protesters.

He was free to back up, considering he did so right before running those people over. That’s like saying the capital police were free to run from the scene? Is that how you want to play this? Did that officer keep on firing? This cop kept on going and even gunned it after someone was under the vehicle. As much as I thought that the Louisville Police messed up by shooting without identifying the target, the one indictment they did get was for indiscriminately firing a weapon which went into a neighboring apartment. This was clearly indiscriminate. Even if the officer somehow gets off, the Tacoma Police is going to paying a ton of money.

If you lick the boot enough, you don't get to *wear* the boot.

Until someone beat his windshield with a baseball bat until he was killed? Would that be OK for him then to try to drive away? So much for supporting the police, that lasted about five minutes for the Democrats

Well, you wanted this policeman to back up to avoid confrontation. Shouldn’t the capital police have avoided confrontation? That’s the same mentality Avoid confrontation? They were the ones between members of Congress and a trespassing crowd that was break windows to try to gain access. The Capitol Police officer fired a single shot at someone with a large bag This office is in a car. He indiscriminately ran over a large group of people. You have a weird sense of right and wrong.

Now you’re going to try to sell the premise that this is completely different. It’s really sad.

The capitol police's job is to protect the capitol. I realize how you guys talk out of both sides of your mouth. It’s almost comical from a week ago. You have no idea what they were saying to the police officer. You have no idea what they were threatening. You’re OK with the woman getting shot at the capital who was breaking a window? But God for bid a policeman try to get the hell out of a bad situation.

Why didn't he drive away then? Why didn’t the capital police avoid confrontation? Everyone has been evacuated? Do you see the hypocrisy? There were members of Congress lying low in the House Chamber. So what's your answer? Just allow them to break through the door and confront members of Congress? After bashing the windows with helmets and flagpoles? This officer in Tacoma wasn't protecting Congress, or the the Mayor, or anyone in particular. As far as I can tell nobody broke any windows of the patrol vehicle. And even after extricating himself from the crowd (by knocking people over) he didn't stop and continued by running directly over someone incapable of getting out of the way. He continued by running over someone knocked over who was prone on the ground.

But God for bid a policeman try to get the hell out of a bad situation. No. Ashli Babbitt was monumentally stupid. You're breaching the Capitol Building. bashing in windows, and trying to break through a barricaded door. And you've already been warned by people on both sides of the door that guns have been drawn. The cop had already extricated himself from the crowd. He could have stopped instead of running that guy over. The Capitol Police officer did stop. Did he fire more than one shot? I count one. Maybe I'm wrong.
