Will Guidetti even take her though...isn’t he super big on wanting the players who have committed to the quad? That’s why players like the Turkish OH in Japan aren’t on the national team. You have to commit to the full quad with the team. Granted, it wasn’t Vargas’s fault, but I wonder if Guidetti will make an exception.

Guidetti will move Ebrar there can she receive well? always had an impression that she's a loose cannon No, not great. But Guidetti prefers her attacking from the left pin (I agree) I could see them trying to move to a 2.5 passer system.

Serbia and Russia live on that kind of system but they have Boskovic/Mihajlovic and Goncha/Kosheleva. I don't think Turkey has the power hitters to play such a system.

Vargas does it now with Fenerbahce lol and Simge is a better passer than Popovic. Knowing Guidetti, he probably won't do it... Hande+Meliha+Vargas is a better trio than +Ebrar

Also for some reason, Hande does much better offensively with the national team. Maybe it’s because of the tempo Naz sets her? (I can’t remember if it’s different or not). And she does it against bigger blocks as the OH1 rather than the OH2.

I think the rules says that a player has to wait for 2 years after she obtains the change of Federation of origin. Vargas should be eligible to play for Turkey in 2023.

But why would they want vargas if they can get haak for turkish team? Guidetti and turkish can easily get that citizenship for her!
Somebody needs to contact kiraly now to process haak citizenship!

Maybe haak is perfectly happy to "only" be a professional volleyball player and has no interest in playing for any national team.

Also, I don't want to get too political, but another factor is that Vargas had Cuban citizenship while Haak is Swedish... the difference of quality of life in those countries cannot be compared especially if you're making bank as a professional athlete.

Can't wait to end this club season and to see the team complete and 1000% hunger for that VNL/Olympic.

Can't Turkish citizens have dual citizenship, like in the states?
