Also for some reason, Hande does much better offensively with the national team. Maybe it’s because of the tempo Naz sets her? (I can’t remember if it’s different or not). And she does it against bigger blocks as the OH1 rather than the OH2. OH1 usually lines up against the setter more than the opp if everyone's starting in Ro1. you right...i meant Oh1 as the more offensive one lol. But she’s usually the one who matches up against the bigger blocks since the other OH is usually Ismailoglu. |

I think I'm literally about to do a rewatch of the entire 2019 season. Definitely the USA matches but also some other competitive ones. For those who watched various non-USA matches, which matches should I check out? Also, confession time. How many of you have watched certain matches multiple times or have you only watched most matches once? Now is the time to do a rewatch since volleyballTV is free. I have watched all USA matches from 2019 and 2018 during COVID pandemic LOL. USA vs. CHN VNL Week 4 is my favorite. USA vs. BRA all three. USA vs. KOR and USA vs. RUS WC are staples as well. 😋 |

It is hard to tell how Lowe will look with a better setter, and better passing around her but I was not very impressed by her at AU. She led in kills, but I found her defense really lacking. She looked decent in system but was not too great out of system

I wonder if we will need a VPN for Volleyball TV after April 30th here in the USA once it’s no longer free? As far as I know USA is on the list where volleyball tv is available. So, I'm assuming that after April 30th, they would start charging a yearly or monthly subscription just as they do in the other countries where it was available before USA. |

None of them (Mara, Amanda, Tainara, and Drussyla) had a good season at their clubs with ups and lots of downs. If there was no limit on the number of players, I could see some of them make an appearance at VNL. Better luck next season. Nyeme does not have a lot of experience (only two years as a pro), but shows lots of potential. She is the future libero for the Brazilian NT. And to think she gave up playing volleyball after her tenure with the youth NT. She looks great! Can't wait to hopefully see her in action. Do you think she will start at all? Or will Brait play most of the matches? I think Brait will play most of the matches, but we will see some of Nyeme. |

China is done with their National Games Qualifier, they should be regrouping for national team training in the next few days.

Of course there's the usual ones who are there (Zhu Ting, Yuan Xinyue, Zhang Changning, etc.) but the only information fans have right now is from looking at pictures. from what i've seen it looks like Liu Yanhan and Wang Yizhu are among those joining the training again, and apparently Gao Yi was left behind. (if that is true, then it's a very strong sign that Wang Yuanyuan and Yang Hanyu both joined the camp)
Liu Xiaotong, Zheng Yixin, Lin Li, etc. need to play in the 9-14th placement matches for the national games (idk when that is, but apparently it's soon), so they will join the training camp later.

Don't see any vets. Looks like they are strting their new players prep for Olympic 2024 The only name that's familiar to me is Guedpard who was Nootsara's substitute. Edit: Didn't recognize them by their last name, but they still have Ajcharaporn, Chatchu On, and Pimpichaya. Thailand like South Korea will have a big drop off next cycle. Unfortunately I see them dropping lower in rankings and losing their spots to upcoming European and North/South American teams. The Thai veteran group will be hard to replace. I always loved watch them play with their hearts despite their size. |
