even if they pull off the reverse sweep no way that this BYU team beats USD San Diego barely escaped Gonzaga this weekend! They are not looking invincible. But with so many players out prior to this week - I give them sympathy for it being a 'first' match of sorts. They didn't look that good that match, but it was also their 4th match in 5 days with basically the same 8 players that have been playing since the beginning of the season (except Benbow I think). I'm gonna cut them some slack. For now.

-20, -16, -19. Not even close. And the -20 set was 24-15 before the late run.

Freshman Meg Brown continues her hot streak hitting .583 (9-2-12) Brown is a stud. I posted this in the BYU thread back in September: 2020 isn't BYU's year... When they eventually do play competitive matches, San Diego will be strong and I like Pepperdine's 2020 class - MB Meg Brown is going to be good.

I’m excited for Pepperdine vs Baylor Pepperdine played pretty well. Their freshmen really stepped up. If they can beat BYU again, then Baylor might have some tougher competition than they originally expected. Hard to tell if BYU had a really off night or if Pepperdine is really that good, but tonight's match should add some clarity.

I've only ever seen her in the middle, so was surprised to see her on the right.

When I quickly looked up numbers last night, I swapped 11 and 12. I should have noticed the difference, but in my defense I was watching in a tiny window on my computer!
