Quick Summary for Men after Cancun Hub 2 for Olympic Points
Cribb- 7040 I think they have a spot locked up but "technically" not yet but would take multiple podium finishes by both 2T and Dalcena for Cribb to drop to 3rd.
Dalcena- 6720 2T- 6480
Dalcena an 2T both get a T-9th but Dalcena increases their lead over 2T due to replacing a 240 point effort with this 400 point effort. 2T replace a 360 point finish with this 400 point finish. 2T is now 240 points behind and their lowest point total of their 12 that count is 360 points. Basically, they would need to get a 3rd or better next event to overtake Dalcena.
Dalcena still has a lower point finish to replace for Cancun Hub 3 as they have a 320 point finish as their lowest while 2T has a 360. So, if both go T-9th again in Cancun 3, Dalcena will up their lead more.

Next week, a lot of the teams withdrew. Hoping USA men’s have some good finishes next week... I was thinking that teams might drop and it turns into a 4 star points event but maybe not a 4 star field and then it turns into which team (on both men's and women's side) of who gets the best draw for the elimination bracket. Kind of a wonky way to determine things but whatever. Either way, based off of Cancun 1 & 2, outside of A-Team, US teams realistic finish is a T-9th and anything better will be a pleasant surprise.

Doha was already a pleasant surprise 😂

After the classless move by Trevor Crabb under hand servicing billy in the CQ it will be good not to have him representing the US in the Olympics. Not really ok to humiliate your fellow American team on the world stage.

This is not USA, but how crazy is it that Norway’a worst finish is now a 2nd place with 720 points at a 4* event??

Over/under 3? As much as I’d love a surprise American gold at the Olympics it would be more satisfying to see Norway win if only to make up for their disappointing losses at World Championships and the World Tour Finals. Otherwise the narrative will quickly switch to “they can’t win the big ones” and it will be all we hear about. They are far and away the best team in the world and I hope they get to prove it on the greatest stage.

If there are errors about the numbers, then the whole thing is largely worthless since the rest is just awful and inaccurate. This is the problem with having friends of the players as the only people writing about the sport. Virtually everything said was filtered through an "everyone gets a participation medal" lens. In describing how hard things are for the players, "Its nonstop action with no days between?" Every US team, except T2, had at least four days off. Four days. April and Alix are not "back in full form" they were lousy, as anyone who watched them get handled in two by Russia. Jake and Taylor had the worst event of their four year partnership and its not mentioned, Stockolinske put a knife in the heart of their Olympic hopes and Kerri/Brooke played the most exciting match of any US team in the Cancun Hub 1 or 2 (the Ana/Rebecca win) and are not mentioned. Oh and MHPavs were described as consistent, which is silly, but then the adjective "unrivalled" was added to that.

🤣🤣
I was mainly checking on the numbers since I’ve been updating that here 😅
Since Kerri (and maybe Brooke now) are no longer contracted with AVP, I doubt they’ll write more than the necessary.
