Quite an interesting bracket...I’ll be keeping my eye on that Purdue-Oregon projected regional semifinal. Oregon has the passing and offensive speed to negate Purdue’s block and defense imo, and Oregon’s block/defense could also really slow down Purdue. As someone else said, quite a defensive battle. I’m excited. The Oregon offense is going to struggle MIGHTILY against Purdue IMO. Assuming the matchup happens, Oregon will need a ton of offense from Mutiri, Lewis, and their middles. But i’m looking forward to a ton of rallies.

A reminder of what happened the last time the Huskies and Flyers met. http://instagr.am/p/BncAUpVlRZm I think Towson-Dayton is a tossup, but the Flyers won’t be intimidated by Washington. And they would not be playing in our house

It was one of the first away tournaments of the season for Washington. Not many things went well that weekend for the Huskies, including the humiliation by Pitt.

I slept in nice and long today and I woke up to see this bracket. All I could do was laugh.
I told you all that Penn State would get seeded. The love the Committee has for them is without bound, even in a year where it doesn't matter that they can ship three northeastern schools to their subregional.
I see that they also seeded three B1G teams over any PAC teams, and spread the B1G seeds out to all four corners of the brackets while concentrating the PAC teams into one half of it. I'm sure they will say that was total coincidence. Ah well.
I can say I've never been hoping for a UCLA team to make it into the regional finals as much as I am hoping for this one to do so.

I think this is the 2nd or 3rd vb selection show in a row that had an MVC team in the game that was announced last.

If people keep saying it often enough -- the B1G is the best conference -- people will believe it. Same thing happened in the past with another conference.

For the record, I don't think there is a good reason to believe any B1G team not named Wisconsin is *better* than Washington, Oregon and Utah. I don't know about WSU or UCLA. But we shall see.

Purdue is the happiest team in the country. #FFBound Is there a thumbs down button?

Did they really stack the PAC in two divisions and spread thi B1G over all four? Arrgh As much as I complained about the Wisconsin-Nebraska bracket in 2019 it's only fair to complain that they should have put the top 4 PAC seeds in different brackets. Texas-Baylor should have been split up as well.

More than half of Vancouver Canucks NHL team have tested positive, with some players experiencing significant symptoms.
Teams need to remind themselves to be careful. Hopefully the tournament will proceed mostly as planned, which is not at all a sure thing.

I've been following this thread with delight since the softball game ran long. That selection show was an unmitigated disaster. I've done a lot of live TV. It's tough at times, but the timing, production and studio talent, well, thank goodness for Salima.

UCLA/BYU is going to be an interesting match up if UCLA gets through the 1st round. I personally feel like May and McCall are going to overpower BYU, but BYU has clearly shown they can compete in what many people thought would be a down year for them.
South Dakota/Mizzou I feel like is a pretty good 1st round match up. Deberg vs. Juhnke/Slaughter will be fun to watch. I give the edge to Mizzou because they have played a tougher schedule, but we'll see. The winner will definitely give Ohio State some trouble, but I have faith that queen Londot will take OSU to the Sweet 16.
Pepp/Baylor is an interesting rematch, especially since it's on a neutral floor. As a WCC fan, I'm rooting for Pepp to take this.
Rooting for Rice to beat Penn State and get to the Sweet 16. Sending good vibes to Nicole Lennon as she prepares for the upcoming matches.
Pitt has a great chance to finally breakthrough to the Sweet 16 after several years of heartbreak. Hopefully they don't choke again.
IMO, Louisville could definitely get upset by San Diego, if San Diego gets past the 1st round. I know they had a lot of troubles this season, but I remember in 2018 they somehow got to the Sweet 16 after being one of the teams right on the bubble. If they focus on get their passing together, that is a good match to watch out for.
Dayton I think could be a handful. Jamie Peterson is a stud, and they have some tall middles as well.
Excited for a potential UCF/Purdue matchup.
WKU/WSU potential matchup is going to be fun. Magda vs. Matthews is going to be fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing this one.
I thought UNLV would have a slim chance of making the Sweet 16 depending on who they are matched up with, but seeing as they are matched up w/ Kentucky, I don't think its happening unless Hayden goes off and has the match of her career.

Regarding the WCC teams, I actually like BYU's chances against UCLA. This matchup is unfair to both teams, but I think BYU is better-coached and has a significant advantage at setter. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if UCLA won, of course, as they have a lot of talent. Pepperdine/Baylor could go either way, as we know their first match went five sets. I think San Diego will be in trouble against Louisville due to their setting situation. In 2018, USD snuck into the tournament, but the WCC was really good that year, as five made the tournament, four won a match, two made the Sweet 16, and BYU made the Final Four.

TEXAS finally gets screwed, you love to see it when they basically got their paths to the FF and finals gifted to them in the last 10 years lmao. Really? I think it’s a pretty fair bracket for Texas. I’m really hoping for a Texas-Nebraska regional final! Not me. I’d have no idea whom to root against.
