Obviously Dayton doesn't play in a conference like the B1G, but she's a 6'4" 6-ro OH that can absolutely hammer the ball. She has a pretty good serve too. I'm rooting for her!

I understand the rage of PSU being seeded, but I don’t really get why people are mad about Minnesota being ranked. They have 2xwins against Purdue, PSU and split against Nebraska. Also, 2 solid wins against Illinois while their only losses come to #1 and #5 seed. While Texas might be a better team, they do not really have a resume that is better than Minnesota. It just seems like in some situations people want the eye test and in some don’t.

UCLA/BYU is going to be an interesting match up if UCLA gets through the 1st round. I personally feel like May and McCall are going to overpower BYU, but BYU has clearly shown they can compete in what many people thought would be a down year for them. South Dakota/Mizzou I feel like is a pretty good 1st round match up. Deberg vs. Juhnke/Slaughter will be fun to watch. I give the edge to Mizzou because they have played a tougher schedule, but we'll see. The winner will definitely give Ohio State some trouble, but I have faith that queen Londot will take OSU to the Sweet 16. Pepp/Baylor is an interesting rematch, especially since it's on a neutral floor. As a WCC fan, I'm rooting for Pepp to take this. Rooting for Rice to beat Penn State and get to the Sweet 16. Sending good vibes to Nicole Lennon as she prepares for the upcoming matches. Pitt has a great chance to finally breakthrough to the Sweet 16 after several years of heartbreak. Hopefully they don't choke again. IMO, Louisville could definitely get upset by San Diego, if San Diego gets past the 1st round. I know they had a lot of troubles this season, but I remember in 2018 they somehow got to the Sweet 16 after being one of the teams right on the bubble. If they focus on get their passing together, that is a good match to watch out for. Dayton I think could be a handful. Jamie Peterson is a stud, and they have some tall middles as well. Excited for a potential UCF/Purdue matchup. WKU/WSU potential matchup is going to be fun. Magda vs. Matthews is going to be fun to watch. Looking forward to seeing this one. I thought UNLV would have a slim chance of making the Sweet 16 depending on who they are matched up with, but seeing as they are matched up w/ Kentucky, I don't think its happening unless Hayden goes off and has the match of her career. Regarding the WCC teams, I actually like BYU's chances against UCLA. This matchup is unfair to both teams, but I think BYU is better-coached and has a significant advantage at setter. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if UCLA won, of course, as they have a lot of talent. Pepperdine/Baylor could go either way, as we know their first match went five sets. I think San Diego will be in trouble against Louisville due to their setting situation. In 2018, USD snuck into the tournament, but the WCC was really good that year, as five made the tournament, four won a match, two made the Sweet 16, and BYU made the Final Four. I do agree with you that BYU has an advantage at setter (and maybe middle), but UCLA has by far the superior pin hitters. I'd still give the edge to UCLA in that match up, but BYU is definitely going to put up a fight.

BYU won the matches against the Toreros easily, but we shall see. Oh, and while I definitely agree that UCLA has the advantage at the pins, BYU's trio of Ballard-Nixon, Grimmer and Livingston are not exactly slouches.

More than half of Vancouver Canucks NHL team have tested positive, with some players experiencing significant symptoms. Teams need to remind themselves to be careful. Hopefully the tournament will proceed mostly as planned, which is not at all a sure thing. I just assume they are all living in their practice facilities at this point. Including staff. (Not particularly an exaggeration)

TJ is one of the best VB advocates we have in the country. And I’m sure his IQ doubles yours. He chose a funny way to display his advocacy today.

If seeds hold, Utah/Washington back to back is going to be tough for Minnesota.

I beg to differ RPI means absolutely nothing this year and Minnesota had 2 wins vs Purdue and a win at Nebraska along with 2 against PSU. I think Texas is the better team but they 100 percent didn’t deserve to be seeded over minny

RPI #1 right now is Army... #2 is Towson...

While we’re comparing RPI, how was Army not a top four seed???

But if you want to talk about rankings, Texas is 4-0 against top ten teams (albeit the same one), Minnesota is 3-2. I think the argument holds water...but still.
