smh @baylor.. Also got a glimpse of the "gym" on their stories. At least it's better than women's bb tournament, although it didn't take much to top that off...   |

The local high schools have better workout facilities than this. Did they contact OPS to see if they could farm some of these teams out to the gyms for workouts & practice?

maybe this all will even the playing field some.
the teams from the fancy big money conferences will be distracted because they aren't getting all the bells and whistles that they've grown accustomed to.
where as the teams from the lower conferences, who have learned to make do without all the luxuries are able to concentrate on volleyball

One could opine that this is what bit the Big Ten in the Men's NCAA tournament, although I don't think I've seen any discussion of that. It's possible. |

It’s a good thing there were travel restrictions, because I’m not sure the zoo could accommodate Baylor’s entire roster.

I wonder if the zoo and the teams are taking COVID measures like restricting to outdoor exhibits. no, Baylor was in an indoors exhibit. but its not that nice out in Omaha.... so theres probably not a ton of people there anyways. |

At the end of the day, I can't imagine any team falls 'due to something like this.' They will fall because they did not play well enough. All distractions about weight rooms and locker rooms should disappear on the first whistle. That's why there is no discussion about it, coaches and players know it won't hold any weight as an excuse after they lose. The experience of the players is what is suffering, not the legitimacy of the play on the court. |
