Wow. Thanks for that. You watching the same match I am? I don't see in what universe BGSU can be described as "Flashier." There is nothing particularly flashy in their offense. They don't really have a dominant offensive player. These are two pretty solid teams. You seem to just be criticizing their enthusiasm because it bugs you for some reason. They are kids. huh? |

Bowling Green never figured out Weber State's block, which had a season-high 16 in this match. Dani Nays led the Wildcats with 18 kills and 14 digs on .295 hitting, and Sam Schiess had 11 kills and no errors on 21 attacks (.524). This is probably Weber State's best win in any sport since Harold Arceneaux dropped 36 points on North Carolina to knock off the Tar Heels in the first round of the 1999 NCAA men's basketball tournament.

"BG has all this enthusiasm and athleticism (very quick) while Weber State is very serious, and quietly going about winning the match" You front ended the "enthusiasm" and "seriousness" of the teams and linked those characteristics to their relative success. And "flash" is usually quite pejorative, meaning pointlessly ostentatious, especially in this context. That implies some sort of judgement based on personal style. Teams do what they need to win with the personalities and personnel that they have. Seems to me BGSU needed that element to their game to have even a chance in this match. Weber state was seriously more athletic at the net than BGSU. In the end this was a match about ball control and presence on the block. I'm sorry if you felt I insulted you. I really was puzzled. I wasn't joking when I said I thought you were pulling our chain. |

Just a misunderstanding. That was not what I meant to say at all. I was contrasting the personality and PLAY of both teams. But, like I said, not in any way criticizing either team.
