I know most don’t expect Ellie to be cleared but if she is I will expect a top 5 B1G finish. I also think Barnes will help a lot in the back row.

Let her take her time with rehab, gain her fitness and get over the mental aspect of an ACL tear. I just hope she decides to come back. Two years of sitting out due to injuries can really test a person mentally. |

She could be a 4th year freshman. One really has to want to play volleyball.

Especially coming off a second season sitting out, the program will take their time with her. Rather have her sit out 2021 and be right for 2022 when the Illini are truly set to start another streak of deep runs in the tournament. I'm not saying fall 2021 will be like spring 2021, but with a lot of the big ten teams returning their seniors as someone else mentioned, fall 2021 could still be a little bit of a learning opportunity for the Illini and building for 2022. |

Wouldn’t it be great, if after the Olympics, that MBH and Jordyn P promote the Illini in some way to top recruits?

I’m not certain how much room we have for a lot of recruits. I think Cooney and Bruder are our only seniors who are in their last year of eligiblity.. It would be helpful if this year’s roster would be posted. Several B1G schools have already posted rosters. The impact of the covid year is that this year’s freshman class is a combination of two years of classes, essentially doubled.

Poulter has been an Illini fan forever. Bartsch is extremely loyal to the program and can be seen at Illinois volleyball matches when she has a break from professional volleyball. They both embody what it means to be an Illini! |
