This, and the Mizzou spanking earlier, only confirms my belief that having star players in the portal does not augur well for a deep tournament run.

Two years of hype and couldn't get to the sweet 16 and now they have a good chance in a year they've gone somewhat unnoticed. I don't think Minnesota looked too vulnerable today, when a lot of people thought they might be one of the more vulnerable top seeds. But, Pitt is definitely looking better than I've seen. So who knows. I also think they got some unfair criticism for losing 5-setters in those years.. they were still a very good team. Margins are thin in the tournament. They aren't leaving any doubt for margins so far in this match though, kudos. |
