Yes is would. Men's game is loose when players are making plays - ball played the player here. Easy double, men, women doesn't matter. Nah. The double call is used a lot more in women's college volleyball than men's college volleyball. If the men's game is loose when players are making plays, then I don't see how this play would be different. It was a quick reaction and a clean contact. Ball went from one hand to the other, player was stationary and made no attempt to play the ball well - didn't see it coming and just stuck her hands up. Nothing athletic or spectacular about the play - same ball gets called in men's ball 90% of the time. |
