Fair call, Van derMark was on the ground there Good call by R1. It doesn't matter if the blocker is on the ground or not, only if the blocker is near the net and reaching higher than the top of the net (this is why a back row setter can get called for an illegal block even when they don't jump). What I imagine the R1 explained is that VDM's "blocking action" had ended and her first contact was not a block, but a "subsequent attempt to play the ball." |
