how anyone could say x beats y in four sets seriously hasn't paid attention to OSU this year, if it goes 4, it goes 5, just accept it and stop fighting the current.
I have OSU in 5. I respect the defense of OSU & how well connected the setter and middles are.

Thank you for the great thread, ilikecorn. I guess I can close that match thread creation tab I had going. I never know when you're able, and I don't like to ask, so I just got back to work on em.

While eating everyone that you go up against is generally a sound game plan, you are going to have to make some adjustments on the fly when the opponent is a poisonous nut.

I feel like they should have scheduled this as the first match on Sunday.
I still can't believe the NCAA didn't move this match to Saturday along with the BYU/Wisconsin match. It really is a huge unfair situation, IMO. Not following. How is this unfair to either team?

The winner of the BYU/Wisconsin match will have what some would say is a significant advantage in regards to preparation and recovery time between matches. I would happen to agree and it would be so easy to change.

Yeah I understand the BYU situation and I certainly am not advocating that "Oh well they should just forfeit" like some other people are. But I don't see why they couldn't have moved up the OSU/Florida match to Saturday as well.

Hopefully they can pull this one out because I have been really curious how much of a fluke that upset over Wisconsin was last year, because they slowed down their middle attack better than anyone but Stanford.

I would happen to agree and it would be so easy to change. the answer always was to not have any matches on Sunday, to avoid any conflicts & avoid any advantages. The NCAA didn't agree that moving the 1 match 1 day ahead would in fact create any advantages worthy of consideration.
