Schedule5/25 USA vs Dominican Republic 11:00 AM CT Stream Thread5/26 USA vs Canada 12:30 PM CT Stream5/27 USA vs Brazil 2:00 PM CT Stream5/31 USA vs Serbia 12:30 PM CT Stream6/1 USA vs Netherlands 11:00 AM CT Stream6/2 USA vs Thailand 5:00 AM CT Stream6/6 USA vs Germany 12:30 PM CT Stream6/7 USA vs Korea 9:00 AM CT Stream6/8 USA vs Italy 12:30 PM CT Stream6/12 USA vs Belgium 8:00 AM CT Stream6/13 USA vs Japan 5:00 AM CT Stream6/14 USA vs Turkey 2:00 PM CT Stream6/18 USA vs Poland 11:00 AM CT Stream6/19 USA vs Russia 5:00 AM CT Stream6/20 USA vs China 5:00 AM CT Stream If I were Karch and Co., based on the schedule and the teams faced in the first three weeks and before any teams make any substitutions, I think you have to put what you think is a solid team forward in Week 1. Dominicana and Brazil are big tests right out of the gate. Canada is a wild card. We don't know what level of play they are going to bring. Week 2 is the cupcake, followed closely by Week 3 which is only slightly tougher. The team certainly needs to be gelled and cranking by Week 4. The last 5 matches will all be big tests, especially if China brings on the big guns after Week 3. So, assuming both Opposites and Liberos are named all 5 weeks, the setters and outsides are rotated and one middle sits out each week, this is how I would staff the tournament. One setter, one W1 (wing spiker 1) and one W2 (wing spiker 2) will play 4 weeks. The rest will play 3 weeks. For simplification I split the WS (it feels weird calling them that but that is what the FIVB uses so I'm rolling with it), I split them up into what, I predict, are their intended roles. Wing Spiker 1: Bartsch-Hackley, Wilhite-Parsons, Plummer Wing Spiker 2: Larson, Robinson, Hill This does not mean that Karch won't likely try two of the same from with in the same sub group like Larson/Robinson or Robinson/Hill etc. We can expect that to happen at some point since all three of them are the Olympic vets and are the best passers. Still with me? Rosters per week: Week1 vs. DOM, CAN, BRA: S: Carlini, Poulter W1: MBH, Plummer W2: Larson, Robinson MB: Akinradewo, Ogbogu, Washington, Tapp (Drews, Thompson, Courtney and JWO are all assumed present in all weeks) Week2 vs. SRB, NED, THA: S: Hancock, Poulter W1: SWP, Plummer W2: Larson, Hill MB: Akinradewo, Washington, Dixon, Tapp Week3 vs. GER, KOR, ITA: S: Carlini, Hancock W1: MBH, SWP W2: Robinson, Hill MB: Ogbogu, Washington, Dixon, Tapp Wee4 vs. BEL, JPN, TUR: S: Carlini, Poulter W1: MBH, SWP W2: Robinson, Hill MB: Akinradewo, Ogbogu, Dixon, Tapp Week5 vs. POL, RUS, CHN: S: Carlini, Poulter W1: MBH, Plummer W2: Larson, Robinson MB: AKinradewo, Ogbogu, Washington, Dixon That's just my road map. Obvi things won't pan out that way but that is how I would manage the roster. Now, as to who the starters will be, that's really tough to predict. 3 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes until first serve! GET HYPED!

If there will be no changes by week 3 or 4. I don't think karch will only use drews/jt for the whole tournament lol that's 17 matches! I think karch will use plummer/swp in that position.

Looking at Italy's schedule, I think it is quite possible that we see 6 vets get subbed onto the team at the start of week 4. I could see them winning 4 or 5 out of their first 9 matches with the C team. It's possible.

Thompson and Drews can rotate who starts each week. If both of them start 2 out of the 3 matches for each week on rotation then one plays 7 prelim matches and the other 8. That isn't a lot of volleyball. I don't think we will see SWP or KP play on the right side. Period.

Yes. She did not make the cut along with Adams, Kingdon etc. It is possible for her to be added after week 3 but many on here do not see that happening.

Jt haven't been playing that position since when? 6 OHs for 3 matches/player for whole tournament and 7/8 for only 2 opposite? We might even see 5 setter game for each match. Yes it's actually possible that we will see swp/plummer from that position.

I feel like there's a consensus on Washington. Nobody seems interested anymore... wrong take?

I think she really messed it up by taking time off from the team a couple years ago, it slowed her progress as a player. Drews has impressed me though....

Drews has the starting spot but Thompson is with in reaching distance.
