are you just saying this because they are both left handed ? That’s like the only thing similar about their game Aren’t all volleyball skillsets the same? Spike, block, serve, defense, set? Annie has surpassed her significantly in all skillsets. Nothing about them being left-handed. Lowe will also probably retire after Tokyo, so what other value will she bring? Just doesn’t make sense bringing her overall. and what value will plummer and jt can bring as a good backup for drews?. What does JT can bring to the table right now with her playing OH the whole season with disappointing performance like that? Plummer playing OH as well and haven't been playing in high level of competition? Olympic is different from vnl 2 yrs ago. I think lowe can bring her experience with her! That's a big advantage and you compare being vets with other position. |

I feel like they aren't gonna release a roster ever, and we'll just see who is there based on Instagram stories and who actually shows up on the court. Very annoying. I think Plummer and JT should be there. Karsta looked good at AU, but there was really not competition for her. Her defense didn't look good, which is worrying because international competition is substantially better than the people at AU. JT's injury is really sucky. I thought she looked terrific in 2019, so hopefully she can rest up. I haven't seen SWP enough to form any real opinions. I will be very interested to see how Courtney/JWO compare. I did not understand why Courtney played so much of the VNL. I don't have stats, but to my (extremely amateur) eye, JWO is better and should have played more. Will be interesting to see how things look now. I agree, AU is not a good harbinger. Larson looked incredible in the AU. She hasn't looked that good in years, imo. She's still going to Tokyo but I don't expect that level of point producing Larson we saw a few months ago due to a major drop in level. Same will be for Lowe. and larson will still be a staring OH because of her being a captain. If being in highest level of competition will be a basis of who should go or not then mbh,krob and hill should be lock for that starting position not her. |

I agree, AU is not a good harbinger. Larson looked incredible in the AU. She hasn't looked that good in years, imo. If Lowe, as a point scoring opposite, can't dominate the AU more than Larson did than we have a problem. |

We should not say anything about the girls right now. We need to wait how these 3 perform in vnl. That 2nd spot for opp is totally available.
We didn't even mention cuttino had a great season in brazil.
If they bring drews, lowe and Cuttino. Big possibility plummer and jt will be playing as OH.

AU aside Lowe didn’t play professional volleyball this year. The other two played and while JT had a rough go due to injury, COVID and awful setting, she still got reps against some of best. Plummer played a hard season against the best defenders in the world. She has gotten better while Lowe played against mostly mediocre college hasbeens. I don’t think Conegliano would be interested in Plummer if the didn’t think she could contribute at the highest level. |

Well I feel like the underlying sentiment here is that we want to see what Plummer or JT (or even SWP) can do since we've already seen enough of Lowe lol. I don't think anybody is writing Plummer down as an Olympian, just excited to see what she can offer. I understand that but that isn’t the vibe I’m getting from these posts. Saying to not even take Lowe to the VNL from multiple people and that is so dumb lol
That's mostly Reach, but then again, his posts are always a little 'edgy'.

Experience is meh. Larson, Akinradewo, Hill and Robo are there. She isn’t even a vocal piece on court.

ANOTHER CLUE: in the recent IGTV vid of the team celebrating Foluke for Mother’s Day, they said she doesn’t just have one child… she has 22 which CONFIRMS that the only players in the gym are the 23 listed on the website!
