For such a complete player, it's a shame that Sun struggles in the really big matches. Maybe it's a mental thing, but she looks so dominant during the regular season and then... not so much.
Then again, Texas planned well.

Could these announcers be any more “meh!” when Texas gets an ace. Or block. they were audibly disappointed when that challenge wasn’t overturned. It’s annoying. |

I feel like Cook should’ve gone with Schwarzenbach for her added block. Lauren looks slow and has had 14 attempts... It’s not like Callie is chopped liver offensively.

A few years ago, I remember the call not including the bottom of the net. Even though this call favors Texas, I still dislike that the bottom of the net is called. Doesn’t impact the play at all. I guess it increases the athleticism required for the game but still. Touching the antenna doesn't really impact the play either. I like the rule, any part of the net in play should count. It encourages messy play to allow net violations. |
