Glenn passes better than Miyabe. Would have like to see Glenn in the rotation a bit longer to see her serve. The team pulled through tonight.

Maybe I was looking at serve receive which seemed to go wide, pushing Shaffmaster off the court at times.

That's probably on experience. How was Miyabe on defense? If she continues 6-ro IN THE EVENT HER KNEE ISN'T NAGGING HER then hey, go off, former JUCO NPOY! Otherwise, I'd be cool with seeing Glenn having her Tsukishimahavingthemomentumplayinseason3ofhaikyuu moment

Sometimes I've seen Miyabe pass a nail but she made it look weird somehow. Whatever works. Literally, whatever works best for Stanford.

They pinch her when she is in the front row - Glenn never made it to the front row so I can't compare that. When Minnesota pinches the front row OH, we do see some wonky passes, from both Wenaas and Kilkelly as they are covering more court.
Where we really missed CC was on floor defense. Some things dropped that I know she would have had. Its just not as automatic for Kilkelly - she has been covering a different area of the court.

I'll have to watch again, I know she had a couple off center but so many were right on target and they served her a lot.

Maybe CC is just over postseasons. A reliable source has said she will not be available for "a while." Hmm and why should we believe this source?? honestly it makes the most sense to assume she has covid

Well, this is about as vague as you can get.
CC described as being out for "medical reasons" with no update on availability for Saturday night.

Well, they’re specifying that it’s medical (not that I expected it would be anything else… but presumably, she didn’t seriously tick off the coaching staff.) The fact that they aren’t stating that she *will be* out Saturday implies — at least a bit — that she could play tomorrow. (Okay… I’m grasping at straws… I’ll admit it.)

I daresay the most important point of the match was at 12-10 in the first set when Shaff gave Myers a perfect gap set that she nailed for a kill. It was Myers only kill of the night offensively. She did terminate an overpass later.
We had the good fortune to be in chairbacks at the height of the net with of perfect view of the angles available to the left pin. Wenaas had 4 errors for the night. Two came early as she was adjusting her sights (hitting angle). One came later on a BiQ into the net (I believe on an innovative? attack in ro1). IIRC she was only blocked once for a point (hitting error)
Miyabe had 3 HEs and I think she was only blocked once for a hitting error.
SD was not closing blocks and I think credit must be given to MB gap fakes.

I would absolutely LOVE for it to be incorrect. Sadly, I don't think it is.

Mega UGH for CC. She's had a glow to her. Really stepped up, passing 2.28-2.29. Wonders of taking a break when you know you need it.

No i’m hoping for the same thing. She’s such a difference maker for our passing and defense, which could be much more important against stanford
