The match turned on Cook's challenge at the end of set 4. Seemed a crazy challenge at the time. Yeah, he definitely saw something I didn't see. Those coaches watch the net like hawks sitting on a light pole. The slightest movement, and out comes the green card.

Ohio State somehow passed that stupid five-set torch to Washington

Washington and the Pac-12 represent and win this match for a FF berth. "I CALLED IT" of course

The rest of the PAC-12 kind of whimpered out this season, so good for the Huskies to hang tough.
I believe this season was more of a challenge for west coast teams. Many west coast teams had much more restrictions on practice since fall 2020 than midwest and east coast teams, in general. If that explains the relative 'down' play of the Pac.
(I guess we will see in the fall if that was the case.)

Washington gets a Penn St. subregional and makes the Final Four! Nah, Dayton, Louisville, and Pitt were tough! This was easiest regional: yes??

they obviously don’t suck. It’s frustrating for a team that played so poorly for a ton of the tournament to make a FF But like... if they’re playing poorly shouldn’t the other team be able to capitalize on that? Would it not also be frustrating for some if a team made a FF because they caught a team on a bad night?

Pitt was so, so close in the end of the 4th set. That challenge by Cook getting that net violation in the beginning of that rally was huge. Yeah the momentum was on their side. They just couldn't close it out. They had the momentum. They won the point originally, thought they had match point, but nope, there was a net violation very early in the rally that didn't get called. Definitely killed the momentum.

And to think that the Huskies weren't gonna go far after Dayton's match... but damn, these girls must love playing 5 sets.

Final four huskies! That was an amazing comeback. You fought when it counted. Pitt, you guys played like hell. Upsetting minny was no small feat. All the credit in the world to you. Playing like hell isn’t really a positive, but I get your point. Fought like hell/played really hard is what I meant. My bad.

hoping for another 2013 national semifinal performance Or 2006? Looool. Jokes aside, I want good matches in the FF. Give us 2008 or 2017 kind of matches! this team will have a hard time with UK/PU

lol. I don’t get how some people can discredit a team winning back to back to back 5 setters in a span of 5 days!! Don’t care how you win, that’s very impressive!! Congrats Washington and congrats Pitt on a great season! Back-to-back-to-back sweeps is better. But a win is a win. Survive and advance. Nothing else really matters. I'm dating myself, but I'm picturing Jim Valvano and NC State in 1983.
