Watching this match is making me think of how it is that I know (relatively) a lot of people from Purdue. They have a highly regarded department of acoustical engineering, and I've spent the last 30 years working in our Noise Engineering group. (Later "Noise and Emissions" and then "Noise, Vibration, and Emissions" -- I've actually spent more time in emissions than in noise.)
Anyway, the point is that they have an acoustical engineering department, which is why I have worked with some Purdue grads.
