Karakurt was officialized yesterday and Novara's patron looks overconfident, he said Novara is going to take all the trophies lol. This might be true? Conegliano is too relax, hill, adams and most of their bench players are transferring to other team.
They do have egonu but she can't do it every match!
They need strong backup as well.

They need strong backup as well. You realize they also have consensus top 2 at their positions in the world at setter and libero? That’s the biggest gap to Novara. And better middles too. Their OHs lag behind Novara’s, but they did this year as well because Bosetti is just that good. I’m not sure it’s enough to overcome the advantage Imoco has in blocking, floor, defense, passing, and setting. Egonu actually might be able to do it every match (that matters). |

I would take the Imoco OHs in a heartbeat over Novara’s.
They may have scored fewer points, but that’s entirely because Egonu > Smarzek so Egonu gets every ball she can, keeping Imoco’s OH attempts down.

I don’t think Adams/Sylla have played very stable at all towards the end of the year and they’re hitting on much better setting than what Bosetti is making work. Remember when Sylla was shanking ever other ball? I’m willing to say it’s a wash but there’s no reason Novara should’ve pushed Imoco that hard in the final series if they were worse at every position, and Bosetti’s all around game and Daalderop’s last season offense were huge parts of it being competitive. |

If we are just talking Bosetti vs Sylla then I agree; right now Bosetti looks better. (I watched a ton of early season matches, but missed many of the middle matches, but thought Herbots was the starter until the final few weeks.) |
