Here come injuries (yikes!).
Lazovic (Monza) didn’t play due to a slight right knee’s ACL strain. Tomorrow she'll be subjected to medical tests. Piani (Trento) didn’t play either: she needs a meniscus’ surgery; she’ll be out for a month. Washington (Novara) injured her right knee during the match vs. Busto (20-18 in set 2). Orro (Monza) injured her left knee during the match vs. Cuneo (at the beginning of set 5).

I'm watching Conegliano-Scandicci and goddamn Plummer hit some bullets today. I'd be very interested/scared to see what her passing stats were though.

I am so disappointed at Busto. When could they win a five-set match? It’s their third five-set loss this season and all were against important opponents in the league. Lucia Bossetti should not be on the court. Poulter deserves better.

Lucia Bossetti should not be on the court. Poulter deserves better. Jordyn is doing nothing spectacular either (and I hate to say it). Not even close to what we saw last Feb-Apr. About yesterday’s game, we wasted a big chance, considering how Novara played. We could even have won in 4 and been 2nd in the standings now. But in the end, this is the team we have. Our roster can’t be compared to Conegliano’s, Novara’s, Scandicci’s, Monza’s and Chieri’s.

So, liberos don't count for the foreigner rule in Italy?

So, liberos don't count for the foreigner rule in Italy? they do. AFAIK the only foreign libero is Castillo. They still follow the local rules with Malinov, Pietrini, and the middle that I can’t place now.

I actually think she has been doing better generally compared to her performance at the Olympics, esp. during the pool play. Basically I think she's at her level, not much ups and downs. There were two OOS settings in the fifth set yesterday that weren't very precise, however I also remember she had a few bad sets in the fifth set of that 3-2 win over Vakif in the CL semi-final. The main issue is that when it was 22-20 in the fourth set and 11-6 in the fifth set, they can't keep their passing tidy, and they can't control their errors, and yes, we wasted a big chance, more than once. However it doesn't mean I am satisfied with Jordyn's performance. I want to see her become better and better. Indeed, on paper Busto's roster is behind Conegliano, Novara, Scandicci and Monza. I think they're still ahead of Chieri by a small margin. It just disappointed me as fan to see the team I support lose in that way, for three times already this season.

Well, last spring she had a streak of unbelievable games, almost perfect. We always expect the maximum from her because she’s the only one who can make the difference in this team. About Chieri, some of their bench players would be starters for Busto: give me Cazaute or Alhassan.

Someone to either help Lucia or replace Olivotto?
