Smrek put in some amazing work against the Cards. She was the X factor tonight. But I just love how everyone stepped up to get the W against that tough as nails Louisville team. Just an epic victory.
One more to go.
And I’ll say this. Next year we should move Devyn back to the right, and let Anna hunt the middle. Yes?

How are we feeling Badger fans? I think we had a great match with the win but yet didn't play very clean at times and hope that improves including with service pressure with lower error rate. I'm also thinking Loberg or Orzol over Hames might be huge, especially if NE is going to try to focus on Rettke/Smrek.

How are we feeling Badger fans? I think we had a great match with the win but yet didn't play very clean at times and hope that improves including with service pressure with lower error rate. I'm also thinking Loberg or Orzol over Hames might be huge, especially if NE is going to try to focus on Rettke/Smrek. I'm happy. But I was disappointed by the number of service errors vs. Louisville. I hope they can up the service game tomorrow and make sure the Huskers are out-of-system for a substantial portion of the match.
The Huskers had 10 service aces against the Badgers in the last match. I hope Wisconsin is ready....  |

Paul Sunderland said the Badgers' front line last evening was "the world's tallest"  I just wish Wohlert could get in the match for blocking for a rotation or two! |

I really like Demps' progress on defense. Earlier in the year I thought there seemed to be some hesitation to go for balls that someone else might have the chance of playing even though she might be in a better position. The quality of the digs she takes seemed to improve a great deal also. It is one thing to touch a ball, another to get it up in the air for someone else to play, then another level to direct the ball to create a good offensive play.

Go Dana Rettke! We have been so incredibly lucky to have you play for us. To see you grow from the (very tall) kid I saw in the Field House hallways in 2016 into the incredible woman you are now has been a true privilege.

Someone should do an accounting of most post season matches by class. I'd think 2000, 2004, 2013 and 2017 are highest (not in that order).
