While I am maybe a little surprised, I think this is good. She seemed to be the best of the passers of the Demps, Haggerty, Loberg group. Now you pair her with, presumably, Demps as your OHs and you have some thunder at both OH spots and some acceptable passing. I think. Define acceptable. Loberg, Haggerty and Demps (small sample size) had GP% of 44%, 35% and 28%.

I think he is standing at the table talking to someone on the other side of it. Or at least looking at the other picture he is. But I agree, have it full of people. He’s watching the Football game!

Loberg has passed better than that earlier in her career. And she is a good attacker. I think it helps the badgers transition to the younger hitters to have her around. If she gets beat out at the pin, that will mean the young hitters are doing great. I really don't see a downside to her staying.
It will be interesting if they persist in trying to keep a backrow option at the expense of passing.

I hope Sheff had a conversation that she is not guaranteed a starting spot.

I hope Sheff had a conversation that she is not guaranteed a starting spot. If they want to win a natty it’ll be though with loberg on the left if they don’t have a big terminator as her counterpart

Hey Badgers fans, we had the Ghosts of Badger Opposites Past & Future meet on the court this morning - Julie Mikaelson & the Norwegian National Team played Martha Anthouli and the Greek National Team in the CEV championships (Olympic qualifiers). Greece swept.

Martha got to play a few points at the end - apparently Greece's starting opp is their best player, so Anthouli's not likely to get a ton of match time. There's a whole thread for this tournament here. Romana Kriskova is playing for Slovakia, too.

If you watch that closely, you’ll see that Jules was the right back player who tried (unsuccessfully) to dig that rocket.

That allows you to DS Demps and whoever plays the right side, if needed. "Acceptable" is going into a season with passers who have done it in a match before.

I guess I should have been clearer too. 44% is what Yoss passed for Baylor. Good for an OH is over 50%. With Jardine and Reed eligible, I don't think it is guaranteed that Loberg will be passing.

But, i am more concerned if Demps and/or Jardine have to pass at this point because, at least with Jardine, I have not seen it. I don't know what to make of this spring's stats. Wisconsin's season was a s##tshow, start to finish
