Okay so I went to listen to this and this is put on by a 15 year old aspiring sports broadcaster?! That's pretty dang cool Very few, if any, Yes/No questions. Open ended questions to draw out answers. Both did a great job.

A 6 rotation pin and a middle. Could Wilmes challenge for a spot next year? Heck anything is possible I guess. My thought is it will be Hoffman and Bush OH and Endsley Oppo. Crenshaw and Wilmes could make bids for time with Wilmes getting time on the court to develop etc. Of course injuries and performance can always change any of that thinking. Bush and Endsley will need another year before they get 6 Ro in my opinion. For now...DS time for both. In all honesty I am really hoping for the DS/Lib group to get stronger so that we can sure up the defense back there. Its one area that keeps us second tier nationally right now. Last years 6 Ro hitters did well in SR for the most part, but making key defensive plays was a struggle...especially against high level teams.

A 6 rotation pin and a middle. Could Wilmes challenge for a spot next year? She's certainly in the talent realm to be competitive with Bush, Crenshaw, and Endsley for floor time....but that really isn't the question. The question is whether having two of those four players on the floor at any given time gives the Huskies the best opportunity to be an elite team. THAT is the question. And if we are asking THAT question, then the Huskies need to go portal shopping to explore options.

Okay so I went to listen to this and this is put on by a 15 year old aspiring sports broadcaster?! That's pretty dang cool Could you please give a summary? Thanks. Q & A style - lots about her growing up. -Played soccer for a while bc her brother and dad did. Thinks that helped her understand volleyball better. -Didn’t start playing until she was 12 (?) and didn’t think she would play in college and then all of the sudden started getting recruited -Chose UW bc she felt at home the second she stepped on campus, every other school had something she didn’t love about it -Was hard to transition to college bc the balls are faster, etc. Had confidence issues, felt like Coach Cook made a mistake in recruiting her like she wasn’t good enough -Skipped team lunch once and Coach Cook texted her after and they met up and he brought his dog to make her feel more comfy and they talked for an hour about everything (this was so cute) -Is 5’9” which is pretty tall for an L. Became L bc was too short to play front row but she really loved defense anyway so it worked out -Had a hard time adjusting to Seattle weather bc she’s from Cali where it’s always sunny Lots more, but this is most of what I remmeber!!

I hope Endsley works on her fitness this off season. She has the potential to be a key player next fall. I mean she had a stud debut in the tourney in the spring, even had a career high night in kills.

Had a hard time adjusting to Seattle weather bc she’s from Cali where it’s always sunny Isn't this her first year here? Newcomers don't know what it's like until they have spent a full winter here. I remember a co-worker from California standing in front of the office window one February day during his first winter here. He finally let out the hugest sigh, and then said to no one in particular, "Doesn't it EVER stop raining?"

The four-year scholarship promise has run out, so they can just not renew her. Or they might offer her a medical-retirement, which would allow her to stay on scholarship, while no longer counting against the 12-scholarship limit. Hani might be open to greyshirting, in that she could practice in the spring and have four years eligibility and a possible starting spot the following fall. We also, don't know if everyone else, besides Powell, from the 2018 recruiting class will be back (Hoffman, Grote, and Crenshaw), unless I've missed something.

When I got back, it was as if I had never lived there. I found myself asking, “when was the last time I saw the sun? Why is it dark when I get to work and dark when I leave?” I love Seattle but I live in California now.

All the info I get says that Hoff, Grote, and Crenshaw will be back. Cole...I just don't see it as the UW/Keegan way to move someone out to create space. She is listed as a sophmore on the roster 2021. All the info I get about her is that she will be back and try to stay healthy to make a run at some court time. The poor kid has had a rough go of it in terms of health. Hani...I dont know much about that deal. Is she planning on enrolling early???
