A&M, Mizzou, UT ( Tenn. ) these are pretty sures I would consider Mizzou a hard "no," based off of comments their own President said this morning. Why would Tennessee say no? Only one UT wanted and only one shade of orange in this conference!!

what are y'all's thoughts on the schedule? Definitely some drop-off in terms of SOS than everyone is used to with Texas but I think it's a decent schedule.

^ We are never going to be happy. I'm not upset at all. I'm simply stating it's not the tough non conference schedule we are used to seeing from Texas. You already know how the ncaa loves to do Texas when it comes to tournament seeding and that was with our tough SOS so imagine how they will find a way to rob us with a schedule that is not top 5 in terms of toughness.

I'm super excited about the schedule actually. I think the Texas coaching staff has toyed with their scheduling and played the SOS game for the last few seasons, but now I think they're scheduling to the needs of their team, regardless of SOS.
The naysaers counted us out against Penn State, Nebraska, and Wisconsin and didn't see us as favorable until we faced Kentucky. If last season didn't teach Texas anything, its that your spot on the bracket isn't as nearly as important as how you fight through it.
I'm just ready to be back in the Greg. Let's go Longhorns! #PointTexas #HookEm

As history has shown in 2019 (losing to Louisville) and 2020 (LITERALLY WENT THROUGH THE BIGTEN), at home advantage isn't a thing anymore. I think we have to trust the process for our team. If they are the team to beat, then they will win.

The atmosphere in Gregory is electric and having that extra push in the tournament from your fans is definitely exciting and could make the difference.

would have been cool if LSU wasn’t just an exhibition match and can’t help but wonder if Nicole Lennon is gonna get the three peat I agree. LSU has some serious firepower. This is pretty typical though, Texas usually scrimmages them in the preseason. Would love to see Texas get revenge against Rice though. I feel like San Diego, Rice, and Arizona are good teams to schedule, along with (obviously) Minnesota and Stanford. Not sure how good UTSA is for RPI, and the matches against Texas State and A&M are always a mainstay. The last couple of years they've met LSU "halfway" in Houston to scrimmage. And the worst part is it's not open to the public and they don't keep stats. Very hush-hush. Part of Flory being a Texas-ex, I presume.

For fun, rank Texas in the SEC.
1. Texas 1b. Kentucky 3. Florida
Right?
[And yes I know this may not happen if it does, it will be 3-4 years down the road where most of the players won't be there]

It could happen as soon as 2022 from what I've been reading.

It's odd that our social media accounts didn't post anything about the schedule. It's kind of underwhelming by this point.

Assuming we accept an SEC invitation in August, our volleyball team playing at A&M on Friday, September 17 will be our first sports program to endure a rude "welcome" by the A&M fans in the stands. Luckily, we should have the better team, and winning that road match will give us the final word that night.

No better way to kick off our introduction to the SEC than to beat the team who is going to vote against us joining the conference 😁🤘🏽

I was (am) a huge fan of L. Corbelli as a player, the few times we’ve interacted she’s been super nice and gracious- I don’t know what kind of coach she was day in and day out, but it feels like she was getting the most out of that program one could. Others know better, but A&M never struck me as a volleyball hub, except for a few talented players scattered throughout the years- but never able to become a powerhouse.
