Does anyone have any information (speculation is also welcome) about Jamie Morrison’s status as a volunteer assistant? He certainly has the credentials to be a paid coach somewhere, and has already been in the past. Is it possible or probable that he will change to a more permanent position over time? Is he keeping his options open? Maybe I don’t fully underwear it means to be a “volunteer” in this capacity…can anyone enlighten me? he's literally just helping to coach but for no pay? obviously it's up to him, maybe he's helping with USA stuff but he also wants more college experience? idk why he isn't looking for money, only he knows. tbh I'd be happy if Texas hired him but we don't really know much about the whole situation. seems like he's been working a ton with the setters.

Between AU last season and coaching the U18 national team this year, he probably wasn't able to or didn't want to commit to a full time paid deal (Plus I remember reading he didn't want to go overseas last year with covid happening) I would also venture to guess maybe he is trying to find his way back into the NCAA. NCAA positions are much more stable than going overseas or to a national team.

Despite the TV listings not yet updated on the Texas site, my ATT Uverse guide does list Friday's and Sunday's matches on Longhorn Network.
Has there even been a release of how many (and which) matches were going to be aired on TV this season? That's always been a mainstay each and every season to be announced prior to the season.
All of the non-con home matches are on LHN according to ESPN's schedule.

4. Don't forget I'm happy to buy good tickets that would otherwise go unused from season ticket holders who can't attend! Just sent you a message.

2021 Predictions (125 total predictions)
Texas basil Texas 22-3 dl3ww Texas 23-2 Texastothehouse15 Texas 23-2 Hornshouse23 Texas 25-0 harryspotter Texas 24-0 volleycoachiq Texas 24-1
👆👆👆So these were the season predictions for Texas so far in another thread…any of you contributors care to elaborate on which teams could be losses for Texas?
The Longhorns could definitely go undefeated this season, but I feel like a split with Baylor is very possible and Rice could Rice them again. I’ll call it at 24-2.

Minnesota maybe, Rice like last few seasons, Baylor, maybe another Big 12 team pulls off an upset. Though I will admit that my guess is very pessimistic.

The Big 12 home and away lineup was definitely favorable to Texas in 2020. This year it's the reverse. They are on the road for all the top teams in the conference except K-State. OU, TCU and Tech at home should all be easier and in the Gregory Gym environment these teams will melt. OU with all their internal strife is likely to be a mess this year. TCU continues to bleed its best players. We are on the road in Waco, Ames and Lawrence. Going undefeated with 6 games in those venues is not going to be cake.

I was really thinking a split with Baylor as their only loss, but added in another just in case💀 they have a lot of sleepers in their schedule..

I guess I’m one of the few that thinks Texas matches up well against any team in the country. I watched the regionals and finals matches this weekend, and it’s virtually the same very special, very athletic team returning. If they play at that level, I think they’ll go undefeated. Even with the loss of O’Brien; I have faith the backcourt will be just as strong. The key, in my opinion, is how consistently Skylar can put up monster numbers to compliment Logan.

I definitely agree with you here. There's nothing about this year that tells me Texas doesn't have what it takes to run the table. I'm also not as high on Baylor as everyone else is, without having seen them play. We'll know more as the season goes on so my opinion could definitely change. Also interesting to note that Texas might be one of the only teams not relying on any super-seniors (if they were to keep the same line-up from the tournament). Interested to see when/if SKT gets in the line-up. I wonder if Jerritt would ever run a modified 5-1 with SKT coming in the front for Gabriel?

i'm feeling nervous. i am concerned that last year's schedule was so much of a grind that it will catch up to them. they spent essentially 9 months going after it.
