Keller was being groomed any chance he would come back? Why would he give up being a head coach at USC to be the assistant coach at UCLA?

It might make it easier to let Sealy go

uclabruins.com/sports/womens-volleyball/rosterUCLA posts their 2021 roster. 21 players! 4 setters, 4 MB, 5 DS, and 8 OH/OPP. Really hard to see how a lot of these players will get any playing time. I imagine the three Fr will be RS, except maybe the MB, who they might need. How are the two SO Redshirted OH going to get any playing time I am not sure.

At least it might make the practice gym more competitive. Hopefully UCLA can make a good run this year. I'm sure the roster will thin out as those getting minimal playing time, even in practice, will leave.

Y'all sleeping on Shelby Martin. I wouldn't be surprised if she leads the Pac in assists per set this fall.

UCLA will be a strong contender next year. Almost all of their starters will be returning for the 2021 season. Suspected Roster Mac May 6'3" OH / OPP Allison Jacobs 5'11" OH / OPP Élan McCall 6'0" OH / OPP Lexi Hadrych 6'1" OH / OPP Iman Ndiaye 6'2" OH / OPP Skylar Canady 6'1" OH / OPP Gabriella Sonnhalter 6'0 OH / OPP Anna Dodson 6'5" MB Tristan Savage 6'7" MB Emily Ryan 6'4" MB Audrey Pak 5'11" S Devon Chang 5'11" S Kate Lane 6'0" S / OPP Shelby Martin 5'11" S Zoe Fleck 5'6" DS/L Sawyer Aigney-Swesey 5'7" DS/L Kelsey Campeau 5'4" DS/L Kelli Barry 5'6" DS/L Incoming Freshman : Charitie Luper 5'9" OH/OPP, Katie Mccarthy 5'6" DS/L , and Francesca Alupei 6'4" MB With that being said, how far do we believe the Bruins can go this fall?
Not every outside hitter is also an opposite (and vice versa).

Predictions for starters in UCLA's first match tomorrow 8/29? Barring injuries, we know the libero and hitters will be the same players. Assuming Ryan has a middle spot, who will take the second spot? Will the R-shirt freshmen from last year get any playing time? I imagine UCLA will try some new people in. Any players injured that are know about?

Looking at the roster, this is a very talented crop of players. Mac May and Zoe Fleck are two of the best in the Pac-12, and who do you choose to play the second outside hitter position - McCall or Jacobs? I would also slot Ndiaye at oppo. Setter would look to be Martin, since Chang isn't available. Emily Ryan is definitely the other middle... but who will join her as the second middle?
Lots of good choices for Sealy to have and looking forward to cheering on UCLA (when they aren't playing Stanford).
