There are hundreds of stories how one infection resulted in multiple deaths in several families, so your "especially if that action only puts that person at risk" is pure BS. Last I checked my kids' school would not let any kid attend school without a shots record that indicates they have taken all shots recommended for their age group, including FLU SHOTS!!! But go on Dr......canamvballdad Some good points made by you although hundreds of stories may be hyperbole. Also I'm not a doctor, I just play one on VT. In our school District flu shots are not mandatory. Polio is not a one shot vaccine: but polio is an example of how a vaccine helps all but eliminate a disease; you can see why everybody should get vaccinated! A vaccinated society protects the group not just the individual! I hope that my fellow citizens choose to have the responsibility to want to protexct themselves and the “heard”!

What I'm saying is that I don't believe that I should not be forced to have a vaccine just so I can go watch my nephew's 3rd Grade production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.[/quote]
And what we are saying for you to sit next to anyone you need to be vaccinated and you are!! Thankyou

You can be sure that it has not been for the better! Saw that case on the news the other night, it would make a good off the net thread. The current SCOTUS seems to feel like corporations have all the free speech in the world, but we'll see what they think about actual people also having free speech rights. It used to be that you had to actually be in the theater and yell "fire" for no reason to get in trouble, now technology has provided another option. You should still get in trouble for sending a "fire in the theater" text.

You should still get in trouble for sending a "fire in the theater" text. She flipped off the camera and typed "F*** school f*** softball f*** cheer f*** everything." That's hardly an existential threat to life and limb. I don't see what possible legitimate business the school had for suspending her over that post.

Polio is taken four times during childhood and after that you are DONE. If everyone has taken the polio shot and one person hasn't; that one can't infect the rest who have. The Covid shot, on the other hand, is not being touted as a one time (or four time) thing. More like the flu virus it will have to be taken every year (we assume because no information on that has been shared as far as I know). Actually Corona is more like the common cold but I slightly digress. People should have the right to choose. If I choose not to, then let's all wear masks, wash our hands, and not touch our faces. Still not sure why there is so much fear.

Let's both wear masks and not breathe in each other's general direction. Now quiet, my nephew's solo is coming up.

And corona is not like the common cold! Well, according to a survey from about 6 weeks ago, about 30% of health care workers haven't been vaccinated and don't plan on it (or are undecided). So it's not like that community is in lockstep either. www.washingtonpost.com/context/washington-post-kff-frontline-health-care-workers-survey-feb-11-march-7-2021/ba15a233-9495-47a9-9cdd-e7fa1578b1ca/?itid=lk_inline_manual_11

Honestly, most of these new normals to have tournaments have come off as greedy. $200 night hotel rooms that don't include cleaning the room or breakfast, add in $25 parking plus extra high entrance fees. No weekend passes, $20 per day per person to watch your kid play in a mask. Big South I'm looking at you. Small tournaments, again the gouging of hotel rooms and we just fork it over. We have literally driven 5 plus hours and have no clue what things cost. The new-Covid-just-be-happy to be playing means even more $$$$$$$ for club play.

They have read extensive literature (from both sides of the aisle) so I get the Reader's Digest version.

Again my point; i want my fellow citizens to all want to get vaccinated for their and their country’s health and well being; dont want to lose anymore friends or family members! Yeah I looked it up and I was wrong. We typically get four shots during childhood and after that we're done. In terms of the strain of Corona, Covid is; is it closer related to the common cold than to the flu. Anybody that you've lost to illness is a sad and unfortunate tragedy. I still disagree with forcing people to do things against their will. Especially when it comes to injecting substances into one's body that have been hurried along and deemed safe without the usual trials (which typically take years to verify) and tests to back it up. You have lost people to Covid, I only know of people who have lost people to Covid so the threat takes on different proportions. I cannot justify forcing people to restrict their lives and freedoms, turn the country and the world upside down and forcing people into taking a vaccination they don't want to under the guise of public safety when the percentage of people lost is 1.7%.
